Rimuru has gone from a political leader and city organizer/planner to a game developer. He really commits hard to a brutal Soulslike procedurally generated dungeon.

And he's smart enough to put Veldora to work and find him a job that not only is the best fit for him, gets him to finally cut loose, but even benefits Tempest (with a movie reference thrown in for good measure). Win-win!

I mean, if Beretta is going to be made to die for Ramiris' plots, she may as well officially serve her.

It's nice to see Milim again even if she was in OP 1 and never showed up. But her new outfit is cute.

All you people keep complaining about how there's no action. You really do be forgetting what kind of character Rimuru is. Go watch some mainstream shonen if you want action every week.

I don't care about the action, it actually bores me.

I wanna my town building stuff back, we only got the road thingy this season.

These 4 or so episodes are more or less what I was asking for.

Thank you.

It's nice to have Milim back in the cast and bouncing off Ramiris. Two cute little gremlins vying for Rimuru's attention.

I shouldn't be surprised the rest of the Dryad's jumped ship but does Ramiris need even more yes-women?

Look! More meetings! Only now they're outside and it's people seeking audience with a king, complete with Rimuru in his slime king garb and the rest of the Tempest crew dressed in their snazzy outfits.

At this point 80% of Shion's character is just casually flexing on other characters and being smug. Will she ever fight a threat she can't overpower? Probably not.

Nice to know Rimuru will take in his fellow Octagrams' wayward kids.

Honestly, I just don't care about the labyrinth and festival. Wider townbuilding about the roads, research ect is all good but the meat of this arc is just a snoozefest for me.

The early parts of this season had interesting world building and such presented in the worst way possible. Here we have much better presented material thats just without consequence or interest for me. Though I see most disagree. Well, theres better material eventually either way.

Is it procedural? They are carefully handcrafting the levels and traps from what we see...

That is exactly how procedurally generated games work: you handcraft a series of elements and then randomly arrange them according to set rules. Otherwise they'd be unplayable garbage.

From the review:

So I guess it's a good thing that Rimuru didn't just murder them on sight for attacking Tempest unprovoked—despite that seeming to be more in character after the whole Falmuth invasion.

That's a bit much, surely. Rimuru had a specific reason for slaughter those people--and to be fair, they were members of a murderous, invading army--to wit, it was necessary to bring his dead followers and friends back to life. It's not like he's adopted murder as a regular policy since then. He'll take out a Clayman on occasion, but it's still pretty rare.

Also, it's not like they had to murder them. Shion had things well in hand.

Sure, but in this case I'm not clear theres a random or procedural element at all? Its all handcrafted by Rimiru and Ramiris? I'm happy to be corrected but I didn't get the impression of a randomly shifting layout but a totally level designed map. Not that this, er, matters at all but getting in the weeds is where the interest is I guess.

I guess they didn't specify if the rooms are rearranged manually or randomly. Although in this show's "gee that sure is convenient" line, I fully expect her domain organtization power to be able to be automated.

Well that was a very slime episode. Everything moving forward smoothly. I half expect the tengu to be part of the move to the new set of fights, what with the mention of angles in their heritage. But it seems we are just leaving that to the vampire merchants, and having meetings about territory and parties in the mean time.

Where Benimaru becomes a Harem protagonist with girls fighting over him, Rimuru realizes he has been a Harem protagonist all along, Geld and Gabiru can't find girlfriends and we find out Hakuro has been married and fathered a child this whole time.

I've always found spoiler[Velgrynd] to be one of if not the most gorgeous girls in Tensura and the brief cameo cemented it

I found myself skipping through the back story of the light speed hero. Just was not that interesting. It also marks the most flippant and random the story has been as far as granting powers to humans from Japan. You can just feel the writer stretching plausibility in order to throw a potential source of drama in the mix as fast as possible. Or maybe thats normal slime writing *shrug*.

I do not believe for a second that a guy not in control of his own skill is actually going to be a real threat. But maybe the story will convolute a threat in the way it did with the falmuth invasion.

Its a wonder that a lot of the other Japanese dont have massive powers now. Especially the kid brigade.

Masayuki seems like the standard JRPG protagonist (or modern isekai (glances at Rimuru)) where everything falls in to place and allies just gather up around them. I wonder if there's supposed to be some sort of commentary there, but I'm not sure Slime is going to go that deep.
Kind of frightening though the effect his ability has on people. Even that otherworlder mage just had his personality changed to be Masayuki's follower. I wonder if that's an effect they can be cured of...

This is the most fun this show has been on a while Laughing I'd take a full show of just "first day on the job", even Hinata's was funny despite the tragedy of it.

The threat isn't Masayuki. The threat is very clearly Yuki who has been exploring and manipulating his power for a year.
