I liked this episode a lot too!
I was really surprised to see Riruka back for some reason but I'm happy she's here.
The only thing I'm wondering about is how the fights will go. Bleach has always been more about one-on-one fights but there aren't enough enemies left compared to the protagonist side for that to happen. I could easily see the Yhwach fight being a team fight like the Aizen one but not really the others. From the opening I can see one-on-one matchups but I wonder what the other characters will do during these fights. I'll just have to see what happens!

Grimmjow! Nel! Riruka! Yukio! All with TYBW glow-ups!
I guess Kubo wanted a different direction for Nell's adult voice which is why it's Arisa Kiyoto now (I'm looking forward to hearing Colleen O'Shaughnessy again though).
Orihime's "this is fine" reaction to Nell being all over Ichigo was priceless.
I missed Riruka, her feistiness, her outfits, her dynamic with Orihime, and her massive crush on Ichigo.
Poor Ichigo always having to have the plot explained to him because he's either been training or no one cares to waste time on exposition.
Grimmjow with classic rival logic "I'll help you because I want to be the one that kills you."
Yukio defeating Ganju with facts and logic.
I kind of get where Ichigo is coming from but it's just kind of funny that he's taking Ganju with him instead of Riruka when Riruka is like the only XCution member who actually won their fight (even if Rukia wasn't fighting her seriously).
You have to admire Yhwach's commitment to appropriating his own enemies' architecture for the new Quincy kingdom.

I am a Bleach half-fan. I'm like a movie aficionado watching a horror film. Fan of the art form movies, not a fan of horror. So in Bleach, I'm a fan of the drama, but not the fighting. This is a fight intensive episode, so i'm not a fan. But I do enjoy the plot conflicts and the scenes made mostly of talking.
Let me nitpick (yes, Bleach is an anime for epic action, complaining about action in Bleach is like complaining the air is made of oxygen).
1) Lille Barro starts sniping the people below. Do they scatter and hide? No, One guy is shot, two other people run to help him and die. It's like a homage to "Full Metal Jacket"? Then Shunsui shouts "We're being targeted! Don't Stop! Keep moving!" I'm not a soldier, I have no experience, but judging from how three people were shot, shouldn't I HIDE knowing the sharpshooter shoots from that direction?
2) Askin Nakk Le Vaar throws a ball. Grimjow BATS it aside? Why not step aside and avoid it?
3) At this point everyone is so overpowered that when they do some attack there is so much collateral damage (lovingly animated) we have to wait until the smoke or rubble clears and we see the other person isn't affected. This episode, taken up mostly with the fight between Abarai and Ishida, is full of this type of battle.Bleach is making me hate this trope.
Is it Tite Kubo or the anime? Who thought up these battles? My common sense is getting in the way of my enjoyment.

Pierrot wasn’t bluffing when they said this would be the best looking Bleach cour yet. The first two seasons looked pretty good, but this is definitely a whole different level.
I once again appreciate the anime giving Uryu more scenes (since this really should’ve been his arc), and I’m glad that Renji had time to shin (he didn’t get anything nearly this cool in the manga)

Poor Renji was given an extra fight in the anime just to lose. Then again, he put a bigger fight than most Soul Reapers who fell like side characters in a Rambo movie. Poor Grimmjow too felt in a really bad fashion despite how he stole the show in the arrancar arc.

It's unfortunate that the side effect of giving Uryu more time to shine is to give Renji yet another L in this show. Renji's new bankai also seems much stronger than atleast half the current captains right now imo. Uryu is just so protected by the plot that they can't even afford to have him get a scratch from that fight. I scoffed at Uryu's line about Renji subconsciously avoiding his vitals. The man literally tried to nuke u with point blank explosions. How do u avoid someone's vitals with attacks like that?

Exactly. Uryu ruined this episode. We got to see Renji's really cool new bankai and he kept at it, recovering and adding even more moves, surpassing anyone else's bankai, but it was all negated by the cringeworthy and unbelievable actions Uryu took. The rest of the episode was really good but Uryu doing basically almost nothing but his boring ass Licht Regen he's been using since season 1 was apparently just too strong to overcome anyone. The reviewer's slobbering over the fight is pretty awful. NO ONE CARES ABOUT URYU. It doesn't even matter that it's obvious to anyone who has watched Bleach that he's doing this for some reason that at some point will be made clear, at which point we will all collectively roll our eyes. This episode has a lot of great moments but in the end, the terrible battle between Renji and Uryu ruined it, and that's the taste it has left in my mouth. This episode was shaping up to be an easily 4-4.5 star episode (better if it was a 10 star rating) but because the battle with Uryu ruined it, I'm giving it an angry 2 stars. I'm just mad.

If people can care about Chad, people care about Uryu.

It would be at least better if Ishida's Vollstandig was interesting at all, and wasn't just discount Senbonzakura where he just stands in place while generic projectiles go all around him.

It's nice to see Ichigo trying to maintain some level of teamwork when Grimmjow is having none of it.
Askin just vibing and being the one character who least wants to be in a Shonen Battle Anime.
Seeing so many characters get coldly and efficiently sniped by Lille was kind of unsettling.
Renji vs Uryu, the battle of the rivals turned ride-or-die bro. Did Renji take another L? Yeah, but at least he took it showing off how much more powerful and awesome he is now. And it implies that, like Ichigo, he probably could have finished Uryu off if he'd committed harder. But he cared too much.

Though those nice character bits don't actually matter, since they couldn't have finished Ishida off because he's already been shown to have the Antithesis.

Really enjoyed this episode, the show really is improving Uryu’s involvement in the arc with these added scenes and fights. By adding the fight with Ichigo, and then with Renji right here, as well as removing all the instances of Haschwald questioning Urryu, and looking suspiciously at him, the anime has succeeded where the manga failed. They actually made it convincing that Uryu betrayed everyone, so now when they reveal he was only pretending to join the Sternritter so he could kill Ywach himself, it’ll actually be an effective plot twist, where in the manga it was so obvious the twist didn’t land at all. This season is way better than the last one, and it's improving on the parts where I lost interest in when I read the manga.

1. Uryu used licht regan once.
2. A lot of none manga readers are totally fooled by Uryu's actions.
3. The "missed your vitals" appears to be a mistranslation. The version I watched said Renji was "holding himself back subconsciously." Which makes a lot more sense.
4. You sound like a crazy person. And you even admit it. Chill.
