Its actually $10/ep and that's been pretty standard for them. There are exceptions were its been higher though, so it isn't outrageously high for AoA. What annoys me is that it doesn't look like it includes a chipboard box. Its usually stated in the description when it has one, so it will probably be a paper box maybe not even double-walled. They've done this many times before and its just a way of them shaving off some costs while pretending they are giving you "Japanese quality". They did it with Baccano!, with GoS: Recalled out Summer, most recently Promised Neverland, etc.

Doesn't seem that way. They are relabeling Funimation products with the Crunchyroll label. If you take a look at the images for upcoming releases on RS for like BEM, Back Arrow, Uramichi Oniisan, One Piece, etc. you can see the label switch.
They are probably going to continue with AoA for premium releases of certain shows (at least for the time being) and the Crunchyroll label taking the place of Funimation style releases. Aniplex has been under a different division at Sony (unless that changed recently?) so even though its all anime and owned by Sony its different divisions. There maybe some co-operation between divisions like with Demon Slayer where AoA released the LE and Funi got the standard release. The two questions I'm most concerned with is:
-First will we get better video quality releases or will we continue with the same mediocre video/audio that we had from Funimation.
-Second and perhaps more concerning is will Crunchyroll do as many physical releases as Funimation did? What will happen to Funi's back catalogue? Crunchy is primarily a streaming company and they may decide to do fewer physical releases going forward. We could see the elimination of the Essentials/SAVE line, because they would expect you to stream it after initial BD releases go OOP.
Personally, I don't see how the acquisition was allowed to go thru. They are not a general streaming service like Amazon, Paramount+, Hulu, etc
