The only thing I got for Christmas that I can classify remotely related to anime is a $15 gift certificate to my local mall. I plan on using this little piece of paper to get a discounted anime DVD at the Suncoast in the mall. Other than that, I got other DVDs not related to anime.

My Hime vol. 1 with arbox and Princess Tutu vol. 1 are all I got DVD-wise. My boyfriend's sister got me an Al Elric plush.

My stocking had assorted goodies from the new Daiso store in one of the local malls (I love that place!), including Detective Conan Tissue packets, and a tin of that candy the lil' girl in Grave of the Fireflies had. Also Ouran Host Club manga #1.

I got Guitar Hero 2 and Kingdom Hearts 2 from the parents, and from my boyfriend I got Trauma Center and Phoenix Wright (woot!)

And, while techincally not anime, I got the coolest lil' thing from my aunt- at first glance, it looks like a handmade fabric Chinese takeout box. When you start to open it, the sides fall out and it opens into a sewing kit! It's so cute!

No Santa here... But I finally got the FMA The Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa Special Edition boxset. I worked too hard in college, and this was my prize n____n (goes into raptures)

And though it's not anime-related, I got 2 CDs with Japanese music n___n (no J-POP)

My mom ordered me Excel Saga from the rightstuf sale after I dropped some hints. Now I just got to wait for it to come in, as it was backordered from all the demand. I havn't been to my aunt and uncles yet though, and they might have some anime for me. Other than that I got a $50 from my grandpa that I'm gonna use on the NGE platinum thinpack that Best Buy has for $55 Very Happy

Some of that fantastic green paper that you can trade for goods and services.
After I pay for college books, a few study guides, and the such; I'll most likely pick up Ergo Proxy vol 1, ParaKiss vol 1, and maybe one other that crosses my fancy. I might save a little as well because School Rumble should be released in the very near future.

That was some great Christmas last night, I still got to survive today's one, so tired (and still sick for having ate too much). As for anime related gift, I got nothing but money this year, but since the three major use for it will be books, video games and anime/dvd I guess it's related.

I just opened my gifts. I mostly got clothes(Not much anime stuff either). I got a Go board, money, Hikaru no Go(Japanese DVDs), and Japanese story book. I also got this thing that lets me draw stuff on my computer. Oh, yeah I also got a Go book for beginners. I still have gifts from my brother coming down but they should get here by tomorrow or so.

Hope you all had a good Christmas.

EDIT:I still got to get the gifts I got for my big brother and my sister in law to them. I got my brother some comics, an ankh like the one he used to wear, and I wrote a poem for him, and for my sister in law another Egyptian necklace that's supposed to sympbolize love or something.

For my fellow otaku friend, I was GOING to get him Avatar cine-manga for him and his brother who I got some Yu-GI-Oh! cards but I didn't have enough money. For my little brother buddy(Not really my little brother, I just consider him like one), I might give him his birthday gift three months early: A foot ball I found in a park, although maybe I'll give him either a DVD of Baki the Grappler(See if he likes it) or just get him something else that has to do with sports. Don't know yet.

"Zorc bless us. Everyone."-Yami Bakura. Zorc and Pals Christmas special(see Yu-Gi-Oh! The abridges series)

Only requested two titles this year, and got both of them:

Neo Ranga thinpak
Plantetes collection

Also received a $30 Walmart gift card which will be used for obvious purposes Laughing. Other than that, it was the same mix of clothes and other non-anime requested gifts that I've become accustomed to. Here's hoping that everyone has a pleasant holiday season, and a safe return home if you're traveling.

I figure one Christmas thread with at least a notional anime theme wouldn't go too far amiss.

Merry Christmas...

Did Santa leave you anything pretty and anime shaped under your tree?

Santa was pretty sparse for me - I don't really like giving really detailed lists, and theres no way anyone I know could do a particularly good job at getting me stuff I haven't seen but I want to see if they were just buying blind.

I did manage to prompt one of my brothers to buy me the Firefly boxed set, and the other one got me Memories with only minor prompting.

And a couple of manga volumes I added to the amazon basket while my mum was buying stuff for my brothers - like Volume 1. of Welcome to the NHK!

Anyway, ho ho ho, and a merry christmas...
Or seasons greetings to anyone who is thoroughly against christmas. Have a happy non-denominational celebration.

Don't eat too much or drink too much sherry. (Or spend too much time reading on ANN - go AND SPEND IT WITH YOUR FAMILY!)

i also got Welcome to the NHK!

also added the saber marionette j to x box set and some yaoi from a buddy.

most of all thats great my bff gave me a subcription for SHOJO BEAT! yes!

you should make a welcome to nhk thread soon as you read it. i didn't finish reading it today since the family party is going on.
