Rapelay I'm assuming?

That game was ridiculous looking lol. Who would actually make that?

The same people who made games like Battle Raper the Biko trilogy.....and a number of other similar games.

Artificial Academy 3 when?

But still, those are some demanding video cards. Then again, this is VR so it has to be demanding. Wonder if it's just linear or if there's any character customization.

The negative backlash really means nothing. The people angry about the game would have never have bought it to begin with. And if Illusion pays no attention to western social media then they can't get hurt over it. Also, if you go into it knowing that western social media is going to flame you, then you can just ignore it.

The problem was that American feminists started a large scandal back then. And you know how much influence they have in USA. A lot of Japanese game companies even closed their sites for Western IPs because of it.

This is intresting for a couple of reasons one being feminists don't have that level of pull in the US and two there wasn't really much of push in the US to keep Rapelay from being sold as the game was never officially distributed outside of Japan.

If I remember right, one guy tries to sell the game, that he owned on Amazon or eBay. Some feminist group saw it and put a bunch of petitions and some scandal in press.

Yes, technically the game that not licensed in USA, should not be of concern here, although the scandal itself had a negative effect on Japanese adult-game makers and made some companies to became much more cautions regarding the western market.

Actually, one of the cited reasons for Summer Lesson's exclusivity is a possible negative backlash.

Yeah for games that were mostly never getting released here.

Christian groups also had a lot more power at the time, so Rapelay got a pincer thrust. Clamming up was their was of dealing with the fuss.

On the other hand, this is the perfect time to reintroduce themselves: the Tea Party's largely lost most of its power and SJWs are facing a backlash of their own. Plus, Americans are going to need all the waifus they can get if a certain someone gets their no fly zone and starts crap over some damn fool thing in the middle east.

Whoever this certain someone is they'd need congressional approval and as our current congress isn't too fond of either of the candidates that won't happen anyway.

Just remember everyone, if you have crushes in the real world, don't mind if I steal them from you when you play this.

True, but money is money. They always have the option to turn western social media off, and to close their IP too, as well. If you go into something knowing you are going to get bitten, it is not going to hurt as much, as if you were surprised about it. The price of doing business.
