I'm really going to muss this show, it become one of my all time favorites. But still, I'm glad it got a full run and a perfect ending.

Yes, great show. Amazingly manages to make the villain a sympathetic, and finally redeemed, character.

I've been told that the manga has some epilogue chapters. I'd love to see an OVA or 2 someday that covers this, but I'm keeping my expectations low. Perhaps I'll have to read the chapters instead.

I feel like a lot of people dismissed this series because of the CG but with the entire story told I feel like ultimately it was a very excellent and engrossing romance (with plenty of humor and surprisingly a lot to say about love and family).

The leads romance with the threat of death from intimacy yet it not getting in the way of their love for each other (and Alice's hardcore flirting) was positively sizzling and heartwarming.

The supporting cast and multiple side ships were all likeable and well-developed. And love it or hate it, the redemption of the "main villain" actually made sense and felt relatively earned (though I guess your mileage may vary on that).

Everything got wrapped up well and tidy, which is exactly why I'm so happy this got a complete adaption.

Honestly I really enjoyed this show, and I like how Duke & Alice treat each other with respect and care (and occasional teasing on Alice's part) & don't let the curse get in the way of their relationship too much. As for the CGI honestly it's hard to imagine this series without it and makes it stand out and be more memorable than it would be otherwise.

The supporting cast is nice too as are the themes of redemption, forgiveness and hope. They don't excuse the bad actions others make but rather help provide understanding as to why they did them in the first place. That said I felt some characters weren't as fleshed out as they could have been, most notably the school girls. Maybe we'll get some OVAs that address that issue but as it stands they really didn't contribute that much to the show overall.

Overall at the end of the day it's a solid series, and one I could see myself coming back to in the future.

P.S. Shout-out to the dub cast for providing excellent performances for all 3 seasons.

I love that the series told a complete story without dragging it out into the weeds until the author and audience got so fatigued that it started to go downhill. Then resorting to lots of desperate, flashy, almost deranged plot contrivances totally untrue to the original spirit of the show before finally giving up and ending the story, or worse, just giving it up and not ending it. That seems to be the fate of a lot of serial art forms, be they TV series, light novels, web novels, or manga Milk the cow till its dry, then butcher it.

This show had a unique story with its own style, and it told it. One of my favorite anime.
