Good news. I'd been hoping we'd see a Fate/Zero adaptation sometime.
That's very relieving to hear. The FSN anime was quite enjoyable but it only just ever so barely dodged a lot of the usual ecchi/harem rubbish that could have ruined it. I'm glad to hear this is, if anything, less likely to be an issue in Fate/Zero. |

Aw.
But if Deen's not involved, we won't get to see the Mana Transfer Dragon... :< |

For the record, fate/stay night's anime sucked bawlz OK? And fate/zero is gonna be toally different from that because the people handling the story will have an exact idea of what to do since the light novel's already finished serializing, and WE WOULDN'T FRIGGIN HAVE TO FOLLOW SOME RANDOM TEENAGER PWNING NOOBS ANYMORE.

Excellent news, even though it was inevitable that Fate/Zero would eventually get an anime adaptation. What really makes my day is that Studio DEEEEEEEEENNNN!!! is not involved.

The sixth volume of Type-Moon Ace lists Ei Aoki (Ga-Rei: Zero, Girls Bravo) as the director. Tomonori Sudou (Coyote Ragtime Show, Kara no Kyoukai - the Garden of sinners) and Atsushi Ikariya are adapting the original character designs by novel illustrator Takashi Takeuchi (Fate/stay night, Kara no Kyoukai - the Garden of sinners, Tsukihime, Lunar Legend).

You know, somewhere in the back of my mind, I hope Kenji Kawai comes back to do the music as it'll keeps it consistent from the Fate/stay night series.

I don't know about Gai Rei Zero but Girls Bravo was a stinker, so hopefully the director has improved from then.

The first Kara no Kyoukai film showed he improved immensely. And not to mention Ga-rei Zero actually managed to the turn the prequel series of Ga-rei manga into a damn intense emotional rollarcoster series that far surpasses the utterly mediocre manga source. The promo for the Wandering Son is also promising. |

The problem with the F/sn anime, is that it's an amalgam of all three routes, and doesn't particularly do that great of a job telling any one of them. If you only know the anime, yes, it's pretty and it's interesting and it's fun to watch. But as soon as you know the original VN, you find gaping holes and mistakes in it, because they tried to make a single story of three separate stories. Most of it is Fate, but there's some heavy Unlimited Blade Works and a bit of Heaven's Feel included as well, which just made things awkward. |

Uh Girls Bravo was he's first directing series and it was great for what it was a heavy and crazy fanservice show nothing more. Since than he's directed Gai Rei Zero which was awesome and much better than the manga. He also directed the first ep movie Kara no Kyoukai. The new TV series he'll be doing is Hourou Musuko. So yeah you could say he's gotten better or that he's always been good. |
