I just saw the AS card in which the voice of "Captain Murphy "on SEalab 2021 died on september 5th. This might be a re run but it didn't look like it was. I know this isn't anime related ,but I just have to say he was one of the best VA's out there. I always thought he was the best character on that series. It'll be hard to replace him.

Yeah, the news was broken on the AS boards a few days ago. I'm going to miss Harry Goz, he was a great talent. His Captain Murphy was one of the more memorable voices I've heard.

Wow. That's sucks... Sealab was a great show and he was one of the best voice actors for the show.
Speaking of Sealb, Does this mean there will not be another season???

I seem to recall that they said they haven't made a decision yet. There was an interview with someone from Williams Street and he said something about definitely not replacing him but they weren't sure what to do.

Williams Street had completed an entire new season of Sealab before he died, so it'll be a while before this affects the program. Adult Swim originals are so cheap and easy to produce that they shurn out a ton of them at once and then just sit on them and spread them out over the years.

As I recall, they are currently working on scripts that do not feature the character of Captain Murphy and replacing Goz was never considered.

This is a real shame. He definitely was one of the highlights of the show, and a real talent. My condolences to his family & friends.
Good to hear they aren't simply going to replace him, but it really is sad that there won't be any more Captain Murphy around. But then...if they did replace him it would have only ruined the character completely (I mean, I'm still annoyed at the inexpicable recasting of Brak's mother on the Brak Show, the new voice isn't nearly as good...quite agitating, really).

Hmm... this fills me with even more depression than I had before. (*plays System of a Down, "Chop Suey" as tribute)
