Normally, I try to be a good visitor to my favorite web pages. This means turning OFF my adblocker on pages I visit frequently. It's only right. I partake often of this content, so why not let you guys get paid.
Would it be possible to pick and choose these days a little? I'm tired of getting such ads as "will your baby be ugly?!" with nauseating ugly/photoshopped babies. I dislike most ads, but this one in particular put it over the top for me. I think I should get to visit (and keep the adblocker OFF, it's only right) and not see unexpected highly repulsive images. |

We're sorry you saw an add that disturbed you. We don't sell ads like that, but we give unsold ad-space over to ad-networks like Google Adsense and Tribal Fusion.
There's a line at the bottom of every page that says "Ads by.... " Anytime you see a disturbing ad you can report it, along with that information so that we can track it down and get it off the site. -t |

I agree. Before I didn't let it bother me but now with the new site. I am VERY bothered. For example now there is Sekirie add running and with the new site it is constantly there. The problem I have with this besides feeling like someone is trying to sell me something by breathing down my neck like a sales person is that, I also have boobies flashing in my face and I am a conservative Anime watcher. On top of that other people who walk by the computer might think I am viewing indecent images like porn.
I may have to switch websites if the permanent add is not changed. |

You can go to "skins" link under the "My ANN" tab and change it to anything you like.

IIRC from the old site, that would only last until a new skin came up. Has that been changed? Because yes, this Sekirei skin is rather disturbing, and especially that bottom right image borders on NSFW. |

Why not just change the skin? I personally like the classic 2006 blue skin (nice and simple and looks cool) and the process of doing this can be done in less than three steps.
Here they are, 1. Go to the my ANN tab. 2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page that is in my ANN. 3. Once at the bottom, select a skin that you like. |

Every morning, when I hit the ANN website, the skin is the default until I log in. When I saw the image this morning, I was also not pleased with what greeted me. The ad is irresponsible to those who are allowed to visit this website during working hours but would be fired on the spot for the images contained within it. To rectify this situation rather than bring up the issue, I simply ad-blocked the image. For those in the same situation, it's another option. |

Yep. I don't have my work computer save anything, so when I come to this site in the morning, it's whatever the default skin is. Had to scramble to log in this morning so that it would default to the nice safe blue skin. |

I've had this same problem. I can log in of course but I still get these big giant cartoon torpedo tits splashed across my screen initially. It would definitely be nice if you'd keep it at least a bit more tasteful.

So I guess this means I'm the only person actually considering buying this now because of the banner. Awesome.

For those interested in blocking the image, add this filter to AdBlock:
Be aware the layout will be destroyed until a new skin is selected or a login occurs. Once ANN gets a new ad, the default will change, and the AdBlock reference will no longer be necessary. To the staff: my apologies, but the ad crossed a line for my place of employment, not me personally. I had no choice as the auto-logout/cookie issue is still not resolved. |

Do you know what browser that is used at your work? For example, Internet Explorer, Fire Fox, etc. Because if it's Firefox, you can clear cookies at the end of the day and stay logged on until you done with work. But, if when you first log in to ANN, if there is a skin that looks "questionable", quickly go to my ANN and change the skin to something G rated like ANN 2006. Then log in and check the remember box. If it's IE, clearing the cookies is still possible, but it's not as simple as Firefox. In addition, Firefox can actually block some advertisements as well, not always, but there are times when it does. |

I was already going to buy the series before seeing the banner, but I do like the banner, but I quickly changed it once I got to work mainly because I don't see nothing wrong with it, but with the department that I work for is mostly female and a strict Catholic sitting next to me, there would be some issues. |

I appreciate the advice, but I do not allow computers to "remember me". As a web developer, I find this option a severe circumvention of security as so many people rely on it, they use the feature on computers which don't even belong to them, as you're recommending I do. I've addressed the issue as I felt I needed to. As far as I'm concerned, the matter is over for me. |
