As to your second question, my answer is "I wish".
But is there anything really wrong with the ad? RACS is an important advertiser on ANN, and you can always see an ad for them at the bottom of the page. The commissioning of an advertising skin must bring in lots of money for the site, so where's the problem. You can always change the skin if you don't like it. As for their selling point, I think it is just to keep themselves in consumers' minds, that's all. An effective ad doesn't have to be actually advertising anything, it just has to keep us from forgetting about the product. I had suspected as much. The left and top are links, but the right isn't. And viewing the page source kind of confirmed it, as it gave more than one skin. I tried finding the image by going to animecornerstore.com but I didn't find it. I suppose it is an image specially commissioned for that ANN skin?

As surprised as I was when I saw the ad, I was just as surprised when I saw that Clefairy there at the bottom. Not exactly the Pokemon that I'd expect people to remember years and years after it was introduced....

You remembered it, and so did I. Botan is making appearances too (Clannad) and that black and yellow thing looks kind of like Umbreon but I doubt it is. There's half of something on the left side as well but I can't pick it, and I have no idea who's figurine that is in the box on the left either. Pretty neat skin though if you ask me.

Any thoughts to allowing subscribers the option to create/share their own skins? If so, I'll even volunteer if an approval process is needed to ensure the new skins don't violate policy and site layout.
