I'm assuming that "announced' just means that the winners will get an email. I'm guessing this because it might create some resentment if people know who won. I know most people here are mature enough not to let something like that bother them, but I figure ANN is just being safe.

If that was true, I think they would have used the word "notified" instead of "announced". Other contests, to my recollection, didn't create any animosity towards the winners. Why should this one?

or it could just possibly be that the mods are waiting for responses from the winners and they will then list them on the announce page or whatever. i'm pretty new to the forums myself too, so i don't really know.

Well it wouldn't be the first time a website was late in announcing the winners of a contest. They may be having a problem or something. I figure they'll announce it when they're ready. Hopefully I'll win, since with being disabled, it's the only way I'll get new anime DVD's other than gifts. If not, oh well.

nah. I've looked at previous contest's pages and they've listed names of the winners on them before. So they're probably just late in putting up the winners.

I think you're probably right. It might be dependent on if the winners can be informed/respond back in time, or some other factor altogether.
