This has to be the first time it is legally streaming. But it was first released in North America on DVD many years ago by Animeigo.

It was also released on VHS for a time as well. They started the sub in 1992 and they finished subbing in 2006! Animeigo were the best in the early days of anime subs with multi color subs and liner notes just to name a few.

Looks like all 194-plus episodes were just listed as one season. That's making for a lot of scrolling and/or using the search engine.

It aired more or less continually from 1981 to 1986 without any significant breaks, so it's not a show that has any sort of "seasons" as we would call them today.

A lot of times the ‘seasons’ in a continuously-running anime are an artificial distinction, and Urusei Yatsura doesn’t have any arcs to speak of to be used as dividing points either.
They could have just outright chunked it up as episodes 1-50, 51-100 etc. for usability without declaring seasons, I guess.

I think the closest thing that the original Urusei Yatsura had to seasons was when the show would change opening songs.

And the whole original series just disappeared from Crunchyroll. WTF?
Gurren Lagann also inexplicably disappeared. Wonder if there are other shows...
