I believe I have finally found conclusive proof that
Aoi Yuki 68107 = Aoi Yabusaki 32360 Aoi Yuki's official site credits to her roles played by Aoi Yabusaki. Such as Yumeno Koto in Onegai My Melody (link to that show's official site). Or Marika in Aishiteruze Baby. In addition, a reading of Yuuki Aoi's old blog, Aoi Logic, shows many references to her being Yabusaki Aoi, then in a post on 17 Dec 2007, it announces she has joined a new agency and is called Yuuki Aoi. That blog is also full of pictures of her, under both names, that are clearly the same person. Especially since Yuuki-san is the busiest of all seiyuus in series this fall, with roles in six series at the same time, I think it is now time to amalgamate the entries under her old name with the entries under her new name. Despite the fact that her agency has never posted a clear declaration of the name change. |

The two people Asami Konno and Asami Imano are the same person. I only caught this because I am working on bulbapedia's Pokémon anime staff credits, and this background artist came up on twice on your site.

Caught this one from a Guest Request for Sakura-Con:
Avery Rice WILLIAMS Avery RICE-WILLIAMS I know we can't use it as a source, but the two instances on Wikipedia (one on Kyo Sohma's page, and one on the Negima character list) seem to support the Rice-Williams joint name. IMDB lists all of the credits across both pages with just Williams, here. I don't have access to the credits for any of these to check how they're listed. The sources for the encyclopedia credits list a dub review, tv.com, and "end credits" or "dvd credits". |

I just removed a duplicate credit for Yoahimi Itatsu (no Kanji) and moved another to Yoshimi Itazu (板津 匡覧). I have my doubts about the rest, but it's gone 4 am.

^Yeah, all of Itatsu's credits belong to Itazu's. The Paranoia Agent " Animation Director" precision is wrong, though. Should be "episode 9 [LDK, ETC]".

Please see this blog post for a detailed exposition of evidence that Aoi Yuki is the same person as Aoi Yabusaki. I think the case is proved.
Aoi Yabusaki #32360 changed her stage name as of mid-2007 to Aoi Yuuki #68107 The exact date of the change is unknown, but Yuuki/Yabusaki-san's blog indicates mid-2007. The role attributions in the encyclopedia are all correct. Since Yuuki-san herself is willing to say publicly that her real surname is Yabusaki; and since numerous Japanese sources say it is so and I have never heard of Yuuki-san or her agency complaining; and since they themselves claim roles credited at the time to Aoi Yabusaki, I don't think there is any real controversy about the identification. In fact, Aoi Yabusaki is probably Aoi Yuki's real name, but proof isn't absolute. Yabusaki is definitely her real surname, since she has said so -- but we can't be perfectly sure about Aoi. |
