Somewhat surprised that Momo managed to beat Ui since K-ON!! is quite popular at the moment and it's been at least a year since Saki was on tv.
But those Japanese otaku do love Stealth Momo~su, so I'm not too shocked. It was close after all. |

Not even Ui could get pass Stealth Momo.
Though I prefer Momo still; she still has her girlfriend to think of!

I'm guessing there's a bit of psychology at work here. Probably the cute underdogs will be favored, as most people who would have a reason to vote probably empathize with a character like Momo. Hardly noticed by anybody and would otherwise fade away without a little attention, much like a lot of otakus and NEETs.
Or I could be full of crap and it's just random chance that a particular character resonates with people. |
