I wonder what the sequel is?

The theatrical films are probably Evangelion?

Sequel to a hit franchise?

Gimme 3rd Gig of Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex and I'm a happy man.

I guess the two films will be independent films to other franchises then. I have no clue as to what they could be.

After doing a quick search, I've come up with the theory that the sequel is to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. That would be considered to be a hit franchise, and it desperately needs another season to wrap up the manga.

I remember hearing that the second season tanked in Japan, actually; but the two subsequent OVA series wouldn't seem to corroborate that. Maybe I'm just too tantalized by the idea of SAC 3 to see straight. Razz

There's about three arcs left unanimated, right? Infinity, Celes and the finale. Which means it'll be a mess, unless they show the Tokyo Revelations OVAs first, and the Shunraiki OVAs between Celes and the last act. Sloppy, indeed.

I'm pretty sure they would incorporate TR and Shunraiki into the season, if they were to make it. Otherwise, like you said, it would be a mess. Going back and forth between the first Anime, the OVAs, and the second Anime would be a nightmare.

This is still totally rumor so take it for what you will but I heard there will be more Azumanga Daioh, sadly though it will be a remake and not new content.

Oh well. As long as it's considered "new". Besides, couldn't they make at least an OVA out of the "AD: Supplementary Lessons" manga?

Well... this article is quite vague isn't it? I guess I'll just have to crawl over the I.G. series in the last five years and see if anything jumps out as saying, "movie plox!!"

Wouldn't it be cool if they made an Azumanga Daioh movie? Cool
