I was FYE and for some reason they decided to make Dragon Half and one of the Heat Guy J dvds available for those 18+. Now, I don't mind (in fact, it's kinda nice) having stores actually caring about what they're selling to whom, but what warrants this for the two animes listed above? I've seen quite a bit of Heat Guy J, but none of Dragon Half, so basically, why?

Nothing really warrents the Heat Guy J DVD's being 18+. That's really just kinda stupid. =/

I have seen Heatguy J on mtv2 sometimes. And that show seems like it should be for the 13+ crowd. I don't know why FYE does this, but they also won't sell the uncut season 1 and 2 of Sailor Moon to people under 17.

I think that's due to SM's cutsie little-kid image. Overprotective moms still exist...then again, I'd do think it should be more like 15+ myself, but whatever. SM is an exception to the rule ;p And I don't know why those titles would be 18+... perhaps because they really don't know better, so they just lumped them into the nearest group. :/ |

That seems kinda of unprofessional to just randomly guess the rating. Maybe the ratings are becoming more strict. I doubt it though... |
