Yey more localised doujin soft, and it's something intersting looking. Nice spin on RPG tropes.
At least the digs about adult content are more true for doujin soft than for doujinshi in general. Tho' things have been looking better of late due to things like Touhou Project and Higurashi/Umineko.
DRM-less, no instal limits etc. is a good thing. Just had to spend a few weeks contacting support for something due to DRM fail. I like the games I buy to work, and to be able to back them up properly.

Does anybody have the release dates for the DLC characters?
I can't find them anywhere...

They announced the US prices for the DLC characters? =_=
I was under the impression that those absurd prices were for the Japanese release...

But where's hairy girl named Rowsdower in Windy X Windam, and where's her stage that's supposed to take place in Alabama but looks like Canada?

So glad Recettear was mentioned. I'll definitely be buying that. Sounds great! I've played a handful of great doujin soft titles, some of which don't run on windows anymore, others of which just needs translations. I very much wish for more doujinsoft releases so long as they are of substance. i.e. The Cave Storys, Moguras, Guardian of Paradises, Fullmetal Sister Marilus and Big Bang Beats of the doujinsoft world.

I imagine they won't be too different from that price point, looking at other fighting games with DLC characters they came in at 800 MSPs so that would equate to $10. Granted it was a 3d fighting game versus a 2d fighting game but we could point out that BlazBlue's characters are made in high definition, and thus a bump in the price tag is reasonable. I mean it won't be a low figure like 160 MSP ($2) or 240 ($3). I think the next tier after that is 540 MSP ($6.75) before you go up to the 800, 1200, and 1600 levels.

Ug, even the X-button is calling for Valky to be a werewolf. He'd better stay human for most of his fights.

*jaw drops* Duo Princess!? OMG. I didn't even know that existed. And now that I do...I can't have it! Threads of Fate was one of my all time favorite games for the PSOne. Why can't I have everything I want?
I loved the "review" of Windy X Windham! Made me laugh quite a bit.

Why are we sure Recette isn't on the side engaging in the world's oldest profession to make ends meet? Sounds logical if it's that or the box.

Ooh, The Final Sacrifice. Excellent choice, Todd, excellent choice. If Rowsdower was in the game, I'd buy it. Actually, I'd buy a DS to play it on first, and then I'd buy it.

If you ever end up reviewing anymore seriously bad games, please do it in the same fashion as Windy x Windam's review. It was really amusing, entertaining and downright true. The game is seriously horrible and generic.

A bit surprised there was no coverage of the NISA event with Ar Tonelico 3, Zettai Hero, and ClaDun: This is an RPG.
Anyways, a new Tactics Ogre heavily enhanced remake was announced for PSP this week.

I made the mistake of playing Windy, despite hearing reports from early import gamers that it was a terrible game. I unlocked everything (the three playable characters) in just under an hour. Winning strategy against the computer? Mash 'X'. With every character. Against every opponent. On every difficulty setting.
Seriously, this game would have been laughed at back in the SNES era. It certainly looks and plays like it came from that time period...

4 GB!? Christ, the first 360 gave us 20! And they just released the 240 or something! Why the hell did I choose the 360 for?
Oh yeah, Dead Rising and Fable.
Meh, my nephews are pretty senseless, I could get one for them at Christmas.

That Recettear actually sounds like an interesting game. Like Harvest Moon but with all those economics themes from Spice and Wolf. I'll definitely play the demo.
Also, loved the review of Windy x Windam.
