I was waiting all week to see the craze that all almost American kids were into Pokemon. Even my bother Mackey (yes that's his real name) was into Pokemon. I even saw on the comercel for VH1.com and on the page was Pikachu yet Pokemon wasn't even metioned, in fact the thing Pokemon was a kid wareing a Pokemon shirt. who thinks that isn't right.

When VH-1 does "I Love the 00s," they'll do a segment on the "I Love the __s" craze.

I didn't see Kurt at all and you don't see me complaining. Speaking of which, how the F*** do you do I Love the '90s and not talk about Kurt motherf***ing Cobain. Doesn't make sense. I guess Kurt and pokemon were considered secondary material. Anyways, you'll be happy to know that they're doing I Love the '90s Part Duex. No doubt they'll talk about 'em then.

Which reminds me. How do you pronounce the decade from between xxoo to xx09 as well as xx10 to xx19?
That's right, I cursed, what ya gonna do about it?

Amen. Amen.

Woot. Though...it does seem a bit soon for them to be doing a 90s series period, much less a sequel to the 90s series (props to Jane's Addiction for bringing that point up on the actual show itself ).

The first one I just call "zeroes" (primarily the 2000s, so far). Short of a few odd items like Lord of the Rings and a few standout anime titles, this decade hasn't exactly been a bang-up ride in terms of pop culture events. Emo rock...Bennifer...you get my point.
10-19...I've always heard it pronounced "tens." Or teens, I guess.

I've always likened it more to having all the angst of grunge, but without the musical talent, lyrical substance, or nifty fashion sense (flannel, it's a good thing).

Emo...is like grunge? Aside from Nirvana's last album, grunge really isn't angsty at all. It's much more about drinking cheap beer and pretending to be a logger than complaining about your girlfriend.

Well, both did spawn from pissy garage bands at the beginning of their respective decades.

Well, it's certainly not all happy. Of course, I'm using angst to mean "general ill emotion," when the meaning nowadays is closer to "unwarranted whining." So...using THAT definition, no, it's not really angsty at all.

Very little rock music is happy, and grunge usually at least had a sense of humor about it. If you compare anything by Mudhoney or Screaming Trees to Sticky Fingers or Exile on Main Street, the Stones come off as a far more depressing band. If it wasn't for Kurt Cobain's suicide and all the out of towners who missed the point, no one would really consider grunge to be an angsty genre, no matter what your definition of the word.

Well, Nirvana was mentioned in I love '92, and there will be an "I love the '90s part duex" Pokemon might be shown there.

Yeah, Nirvana was mentioned on the Grunge music part in the 1992 hour.
I know this may sound racist in some ways, but I think that they did not include Pokemon because they were trying to fit more movies and television show like New Jack City and Boyz N Da Hood. You know, typical African American oriented movies. I noticed it especially in when they included the TV show Martin instead of Sienfeld. Note: I am not racist, but most of the movies in show I had never heard of.
Also, I thought it was repetitive to almost every "white" TV show, a black comedian would say, "They should have had a black version of [insert television show of rich white people]! That would be hilarious!"
But, I'm not trying to raise racial matters on the forums, I just thought maybe that was a reason. And yes, I was upset about no Pokemon either, seeing as I was a huge Pokemon freak.

What got on my nerves though is that dug up MC Hammer and had him give props to people like Tag Team. I really wanted to break something at that point.
