At first I was really happy because Dec 16 is my birthday and what better birthday present than a new Ghibli movie to look forward to?!

Then I noticed that the Nausicaa.net source says Dec 13, not Dec 16. Which is it? Embarassed

13th is Sunday.
Ghibli's next film will be announced on December 16.
The distributer Toho announces the lineup of the next year on Dec 16.

This is rumor.
Next film's director is Masahiro Yonebayashi.
2011 is Goro Miyazaki's "Teika to Chomei"
2012 is Isao Takahata's film.

Mamoru Oshii. HAHAHA.

I'd love to see that collaboration, at least once while they're both still alive.

If they can manage to agree on a few things, it might turn out to be a great project. But considering their different POVs and styles, that will probably never happen.

At least Mamoru Oshii and Hayao Miyazaki have known each other since the early 80's and Ghost in the Shell: Innocence was co-produced by Ghibli.
