The story follow Yakumo, a young man who can see the spirits of dead people with his red eyes. He uses this ability as a gift to solve murder cases.

That pretty much describes the series, I think, if the first manga series was any indication of the novel series. Yakumo can see and hear dead spirits. A local police detective often uses Yakumo to help identify murder victims or to help solve particularly difficult murder crimes. Sometimes, the detective brings the cases to him. Sometimes, Yakumo becomes involved in unusual situations that turn into police cases. The audience representative in the series is a girl named Haruka who sought Yakumo's help when a friend of hers went missing. It's through her that we learn about Yakumo and his secrets. Yakumo and Haruka are college students.

I loved the first manga series and hope to read the second one eventually. This series getting an anime adaptation is good news to me.

I like the premise and will keep my eyes peeled for this one. Guess we'll see how well it translates over into the anime arena. I don't forsee any problems. Hiroyuki Kawasaki is a fine choice. Blade of the Immortal and Ryoko's Case File were well written - I enjoyed both series. I have not seen Silent Möbius manga or anime though.

Thanks, they didn't have that added when I first posted.

So is it like a supernatural, romance, and horror anime? If so good, I like that kind of stuff.

Not so much on the romance aspect, but the other two are good descriptions. Adding in mystery as well.

Interesting well I really liked Murder Princess, I thought Tomoyuki Kurokawa was able to convey a lot of information into such a small time frame without loosing all track of the story, so I can only imagine what he'll do with 13 or 26 episodes. So I guess this means Koichi Mashimo will be planning maybe.

Kurosawa writing I can see this go either way, Blade was kind of sloppy, his Tsubasa scripts were for the most part good and his El Cazador was really good (wondering what segment for Halo Legends he's writing) so we'll see.

And as music goes wonder who they'll grab. Ali Project is a Mashimo favorite and I could easily see them doing this. Ko Otani also feels like he would be on the short list. Don't have much hope for Yuk Kajiura coming on.
