I think that there is an anime genre that nobady as thought to name. A genre that is is popular. A genre that Pokemon satrted. Okay I noticed that there is so many shows where kidsa battle with some thing for fun, tournments and fighting evil. Pokemon, Digimon, Megaman NT, Angelic Layer. Fans have yet notice let alone name it. I call it the Battleing genre. If you think I'm right, have an opion or have a better name write it down. (My spelling is bad incase I misspelled anythg)

I know I have called it shounen tournament before. I supppose the "shounen" is not needed, so as to include stuff like Angelic Layer or D4 Princess. Nevertheless, I think the tournament genre is around to stay.

It's called the "collectible monsters" or "fighting monsters" genre.

Only problem is, there are tourniments in Digimon, it's more of a fight for servival type thing, unlike all of the others out there. I call these shows "raisers" or "trainers" since that's the only way that Digimon fits in, and the lack of the word monster includes shows like Bayblade or even Yugioh and Dual Masters in a way.
