The Crunchyroll airing of Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza episode 1 is very censored compared to the Japanese TV release (Tokyo MX version at least), it is a hotsprings episode, and thus Crunchyroll's version has steam for half the episode, while the Tokyo MX version, which aired today, has no steam, and a good number of bare ass shots. It is a shame to see CrunchyRoll once again choosing the heavily censored version compared to the not censored (or less censored) version, and in this case, it isn't just an AT-X version (like Charger Girl Ju-den Chan), but a regular TV station airing an uncensored version.

I don't like this either. At least (so far) Charger Girl was more risque. I think when they were making the licensing agreements with the Japanese, for whatever reason the Japanese said "Air this annoyingly censored version!". If the Japanese are allowing simulcasts, it's irritating that CrunchyRoll gets the censored while some Japanese channels air the uncensored/less censored version.

Not that I was planning on utilizing CR, but this does give slight justification to the people who use the raws from other stations put up on the net. But in the end, I guess it's again the Japanese to blame in this situation. Although, the censoring doesn't really cover up anything to begin with, since no actual private bits were drawn in.
Why bother to sensor then, is Japan just becoming that conservative again?

It would seem Japan is becoming more conservative again. Like I said, Japan should give us the uncensored/less censored version if they want money for these simulcasts. That is, if CrunchyRoll subscribers are willing to shell out money to go back to the creators, it's seems only fair to give us an uncensored/less censored product.
