Bad place to ask this question... Bad place...

ANN and a lot of the people here are against downloading anime.

The question itself doesn't break any rules.

For the record, ANN isn't against downloading anime.

We just don't permit any activities (ie: links) that would facilitate the activity here.

Individually, the staff's opinions on downloads vary somewhat from person to person. We all agree however that downloads should not be used as an alternative to purchasing anime.

Amen to that. Personally, I do download anime, but not on KaZaA. That place and I have a bad history...one riddled with virii and deceptive filenames.

i download unlicenced anime, but if i really like it, i make an effort to buy it when it comes out in the US. but Kazaa i found is terrible. it takes far too long to download things on my comp. and of course, they still have licenced anime for people to see.

I actually don't download as dial up makes it rather difficult. The few times I do watch downloaded anime are at friends houses, though we do a combination of some downloaded stuff but also watch dvds.

Kazaa isn't really the best place to download. For starters, even if you have a corporate or .edu line, your download speed is capped by the uploader's speed. This could mean that it takes you 2 days to download one episode. Plus, the selection's not all that hot on Kazaa.

I've always just used BT, and sometimes when a university has a student-run private DC hub, that's a great alternative, since you get speeds at ~600K/s up to 4Mb/s. Then there's always the age-old IRC channels.

Not Kazaa though. Never Kazaa. It's not really good for most things anymore. Video files take too long to download, and music files are usually all corrupted. It's only good for finding really hard to place stuff, like copies of Captain Eo. Very Happy

could one of you guys put up a link of a BT site

[Edit: I believe the following posts answered your question, but to reiterate, no, I'm sorry, but like Tempest said, we don't allow the linking and/or asking for bootleg URLs on the forums. Sorry! -b]

Sorry, but no. Teh Rules state that:

Quote:
10) Users may not request or link to bootlegs, fansubs, scanilations, active fan-translating groups, peer-to-peer networks, timed scripts, MP3s, unauthorized movie clips, or websites that house these groups or products.

Ya umm...that was posted already....also I shall not give any links but I am not sure if this counts as one but just search google for "anime torrents". I hope that doesn't count! Sad
