Another one? I guess this one will be closer to the source material than the last one.

I'd heard rumors about this; nice to hear it's confirmed.

The OAD's bundled with the Limited Edition volumes of the manga are dead on, and this is likely to follow where those leave off, plot-wise.

Well, to be clear, when they say "anime feature", they mean a theatrical feature, as in a movie. So this'll be the first Negima movie to be made.

I'd be tickled pink if the theatrical project was the Ala Rubra movie Rakan made.

70,000? I needn't have worried about having problems obtaining a copy then - as Yesasia haven't listed it yet I ordered from Amazon and the shipping doubles the price (that and I've had two invoices from Fedex recently and those orders were just for magazines).

Yes the movie to finish the Magical world ark!
Ken did say that all the ark was going to be made in to anime.
Hey Shaft does do well with the style of the manga, I do like the changes made from Negima!? to the OVA style wise (still I do like the old hair colors better for some reason)

Yeah, I'm starting to get confused by all the variations... so is this a movie based on the manga, based on the anime, based on the original manga?

Have you seen the OADs? They look just like the manga, but with color.

Negima! - (first anime 2005 not done by Shaft) covers up though the Kyoto ark (volume 6)
Negima!? - (2006 done by Shaft) is just a different re-telling based off the Neo story line (the spin off manga) The Spring OVA is based off of parts of the beach trip chapters after the Kyoto ark.
Negima! - White wing and Another world - (2008-2009+ done by Shaft)
This covers part of the last battle of the School Festival ark (last 5 mins of the fight) Then the forming of White wing and the training before the Magical world ark (the trip to Wales) Along with them going to the Magical world and the story in the current manga ark
Negima!? is the made up storyline anime that has nothing to do with the manga
Design wise, the OVA are just pulled panels from the manga and made in to anime. Like it has been said Ken is overlooking every bit of the anime this time around to make sure it stays true to the story

I liked Shinbo's version, even if the story was a little haphazard. The art styles were creative and I enjoyed the gags as well. We'll just have to see how this one pans out.
How'd that live action drama version do? Haven't seen it.

2011? That could be canceled so easily. Why didn't they make it 2010 anyway? Afraid of people getting sick of so much Negima in such short time probably.

Here
see that "2011. NEGIMA SAGA FINAL": maybe Ken Akamatsu has already planned the end of the series in two years (vols 32-36), and this "anime feature" will be based on it. MAYBE

Ken said a while ago the end of the School festival ark was the half way point in Negima!
So there's going to be something after Magical world most likely dealing with other stuff.
The saga final thing could just mean the end of the ark. It was said Ken wanted all of Magical world made in to anime
