Ergh, I knew the "Party" part was suspicious...
Hm, I wonder if the anime segment still play out as a full 25-minute episode (Dokki Doki and Pucchi Puchi combined), or does it include everything...

Wow! Sounds exciting! Maybe it will be an hour long segment... Otherwise the plotline will barely move along... But I have always said they needed to make a show with only the Shugo Chara's themselves, and Amu's sister and elementary school kids since they can see them naturally....

Interesting news. I wonder how this will end up since they already started going back into the main story in the anime. I thought the manga would be ending soon, so it seems odd to make a whole new show for it if that's the case. It sounds like filler shorts though. Since I love the anime, even during fillers, I'll definitely watch it. Especially for the Shugo Chara parts.

Not so sure how well I like the idea of the shorts and live action segments. Then again I don't really like filler in general and SC has tons of it.

Sounds awesome! I love Shugo Chara!
(I'm excited about more Amuto development)
But I hope there are not as many fillers as before...

Third edition of a popular anime mixed with live-action segments? That sounds really swell.

Live-action? So, how low should I set my expectations? The way the article reads, it doesn't sound like they're not going to try to make a live-action show, just segments.

Nah, they don't need Amu's annoying little sister. The Charas themselves will be just fine
Anyway this format sounds pretty interesting so certainly I'm looking forward to this.

I'm guessing the live-action part will be similar to those "meet a real-life school baseball player" segments in Cross Game or something. i.e., the Shugo Chara Egg girls will just chat for a couple of minutes and then they're done.
I am SO disappointed that they're not bringing back the group's original lineup, though. Yuuka Maeda will ALWAYS be MY Amulet Heart.

There's a spinoff manga in Japan called "Shugo Chara-chan!" which focuses on the chara's themselves. Maybe "Pucchi Puchi" will be based on those (OTOH, the article DID say that it features SD versions of the chara's, so it may not be same thing).
I am kind of surprised that the third series will actually be an "omnibus" of sorts with "Dokki Doki" being the "main" segment. To me, it's most likely that the live-action parts will replace the "shugo shugo!..." parts that come before the OP (which in turn replaced the English "All kids hold an egg in their soul..." parts), with Shugo Chara Egg talking about the coming episode as opposed to Ran Miki and Su doing it. After that will come the actual episode (Dokki Doki), after which "Pucchi Puchi" will happen either before or after the ED and preview.
However, all of this is conjecture on my part, but it's the most likely scenario, IMO.

Live action with anime in general seems like an interesting concept. Wonder if CrunchyRoll will pick this up.

Assuming that any additional seasons of Shugo Chara are part of the deal with TV Tokyo, I'm pretty sure that CR will continue on with SC once the third season begins.
