Goodness gracious, someone would be spotted wearing those shoes from 20 miles away. Is something that outlandish normal with Japan's fashion? Cause if its not, I can't see how they thought they could possibly sell them to people that would actually wear them.

Huzzah! I just finished watching the first movie, and absolutely love
Beautiful World. Such a pretty song, and fitting for the series.
Looking forward to hearing the new theme for 2.0.

I'm very happy and looking forward to another Utada song. "Beautiful World" was a perfect close I thought to the first movie. Hope they can get the single out quickly here in America.
And just when I thought Gainax had licensed Eva for everything possible, they surprise me once again. Whoever is in charge of licensing and promotion should be given some kind of award for constantly coming up with new ideas on how to cash in on this franchise.

I can't think of Evangelion now without thinking about Utada's "Beautiful World", I look forward to the new song.

Was there really any doubt she wouldn't be back?
The sneakers are not...how should I put this? What would anyone have to match them?

I agree, I would totally buy them if I lived in Japan/could import them without spending all my cash.
Then again I'm a big Eva fan. I'm envious that the Japanese get to see it in theaters next month.

I would totally wear those sneakers. Unfortunately I can pretty much guarantee you they won't be making 'em in my size.

Somehow I can picture Vanilla Ice donning such footwear. Beautiful World is a smashing song, but I remain underwhelmed by the Eva renditions of Fly Me to the Moon.

I've seen weirder fashion from Japan.
The sneakers look cool, but I don't think I can pull off something like that

Yeah really, we probably won't get the Funi dub of the FIRST movie to appear in our theaters until about 2 or 3 months AFTER that!
