I knew there of course had to be a catch...
I know said she was a Yoai fan girl, but in truth I was hoping she was one of my kind: The obsessive fanfic writer. I'm one of the biggest fanfiction nerds on ff.net... I hope to see a parody of us one day here... And I mean the semi-sane variety who don't see two guys and say "OMG! They're in love"... Seriously... what the hell is up with Yoai fangirls... seriously what the hell! About half of all stories on pages are Yoai... The closest thing I ever wrote was a one-sided romance with Roger the Alien from American Dad! in love with Zoro from One Piece.
Sorry... for the rant...
Now as I was saying... dashed my hopes... but topped my expectations. Good show!

Kevin, you want to be with a Fushigi Yugi otakukin? You should atleast get an Otakukin from a cool series. Like Please Save My Earth. Someone who believes she's the reincarnation of the reincarnation of an alien!

Bravo, Robin! Bravo!
Once again you have kicked butt and made us fall out of our chairs laughing!
There is always a catch, indeed.
But...Kevin did say "yes." It will be interesting to see how this will turn out.

perhaps Robin reads the forum...?
or we just didn't guess it. I'd be pretty shocked if anything in the comic happened based on the forum's whims

Didn't PSME have to have a lot of disclaimers to make the abnormally large quantity of otakukin for it shut up during it's release or something? I notice it quite well in every single one of my manga of it (curses at still missing V. 1 and V. 13), big "this is a work of FICTION" notice on it. I think I remember reading it somewhere either on the internet or in one of the books about there being a lot of otakukin for it.

I can't agree with you more.

I think most of us expected a catch, as did I.
But the girl being an otakukin? Well I'll be damned - I can't believe I forgot about that possibility myself.
Despite this development, I'd still like it for her to be a keeper.

I laughed.
Does this mean Marv has to crossdress? He doesn't look like the type.

I hate girls who collect guys to keep them from seeing other girls, too.

Oh man. Perfect. I can't wait to see where this goes.
This illustrates one of the things that drives me nuts about otakukin. I don't mind if someone self-styles after a character, but to claim to be them... like, exactly the one we see on the screen? Oh, my head.
...actually if she thinks she's Miaka, I guess Kevin is in for a smothering... or fickleness. Or both. And terrible cooking.

Yah there's always a catch. The sad thing is I feel like I've experienced this before, meet cute girl, cute girl likes anime, video games, is a complete geek, but is cute. Too bad cute girl is a complete psycho =\

Basically, what everybody else said. This is an awesome twist – you've caught us all by surprise. Also, the last panel where Kevin still says "Yes" shows exactly why I love this comic!
