This is going to turn into True Romance.
Next episode: Kevin discovers that Megan is a "professional" hired by his friends and coached on what he likes. He talks her into leaving her line of work and goes to retrieve her belongings from her "manager." After a violent encounter, he inadvertently grabs the wrong suitcase. Little does he know that the case contains a fortune in recreational pharmaceuticals... |

Phew, I just marathoned from the beginning to end. Took about 4 hours. This is a good stopping point, it's a pretty funnny episode.
My personal experience tells me that meeting someone this normal doesn't happen like this usually, but we'll see. If they met at a club or something or went to class together then it'd be a more believable scenario. |

Since everyone is predicting an epic massive twist to this relationship....I'll take the opposite stance, saying that this relationship might be a successful one, if only to have everyone's reactions to it be by being the "normal" one out of our three main characters, playing the straight man to everyone else's hijinks, and giving us poor lonely nerds hope!

I love how he practically turned into a pseudo-intelligent zombie creature after she said she like old Gundam.

...why does no one think that there are normal, well-adjusted female anime fans? I mean, in my case I go through life with 90% of the people around me not even knowing I like anime until like... they come to visit and notice all the DVDs.

Hmmm... Squid-Rei, Octopus-Asuka, Female Otaku who likes Gundam UC...... A date with Female Otaku who likes Gundam UC.... Female Otaku who likes Gundam UC doesn't react to Kevin being reduced to zombie with 4 INT.... Maybe it's all just a dream?
