I don't really need to say anything about this, do I?

Yeah, actually, you or someone else does, because I don't really understand what's going on in that picture.

So, anyway, congrats Japan, you're pretty fucked up.

Or rather, I should say Akihabara.

Oh how it feels good to see footage from the motherland. And hopefully when I finish school later this year I will go back forever. Too bad you got to see KNJ Wink In all other points of view on the subject, Akihabara has had to deal with some other hardships, such as the knife massacre incident. I'm sure that brought about some change to what has happened, though probably not much and life goes on there as usual as if nothing happened. The crowds in Book Off aren't so bad, if you're in a rural area compared to an urban area.

Edit: In Book Off they encourage people to check out the titles that they have, because if the customers like what they see, then the probability that they will buy the books are more likely. If it's an urban area, then the likelihood that it will be crowded will be greater.

Looks like Japan was banking on Dennis Kucinich to win and just changed the names on existing ads...

I agree, that part made me laugh.

And wow, that group of manga cows at the end is pretty sad.

This whole article, coupled with Evan's, had me just about falling off my chair laughing. Very Happy Oh Japan, you strange, mystical land of weirdness and loli dolls. I'll never have any interest whatsoever in visiting you, but I'm perfectly happy to read the results of someone else doing so.

I've actually have heard about that Games Workshop, apparently it is one of the fastest growing ( in terms of sales) franchise stores and was seeking expansion into other areas ( As at the time I only heard of there being 1 small store with a really dedicated franchise owner)

But to nitpick, Games Workshop is technically a British company, although to here it described here in the US it's "Capitalist sales ethic, socialist benefits!"

All you did was make me want to go to Japan even more! And learn to read Japanese and not fear airplanes in order to do so, and drag along someone who maybe already knows Japanese to save me the time and since they learned Japanese, will most likely be more than willing to go.

Can't wait to see more pics!

I am not understanding the whole hate on this part. This is a normal part of Japanese culture, it's seen all the time and there is nothing really to complain about it.

Have you spotted any visages of Tommy Lee Jones on Boss Coffee vending machines? I saw them all over Kyoto a few weeks ago!

I don't know, it just looks like the group would kind of make it hard for anyone else to actually... you know, look at the books.

It's not hard to move them, actually. All you have to do is either hand motion your way between them or just say sumimasen and they will acknowledge your presence and move.

Oh, ok... keep in mind, my comments are coming from the perspective of someone who's never been to Japan.

I lol'd for real at the Kodomo no Jikan sign/comment. Seriously, I'm not even a loli hater and I think I would have the exact same reaction to that sign.
