Still new to the forums, read some of the sticky notes and rules but I'm not sure if this goes here or in the conventions section, oh well.
I'm heading to A-kon this year again with a bunch of friends, but this time I want to do some cosplay. The issue I'm having is that I'm an extremely skinny 21 year old middle-eastern guy with enough body hair to make the afro samurai look conservative. For the convention I'm most likely going to assault my body with an electric razor which should cover the hair issue for the whole weekend, but I want to try to dress up as a particular character without molesting them with my appearance. I like to think of myself as well kept, but it's hard to think of dressing up as a character that wouldn't make me look.......weird. The only thing that comes to mind is Sagara from Full Metal Panic because he's technically from Uzbekistan, but his outfit consists of the typical school boy uniform which would make me look like any character from like a billion different animes (with the exception of the scar on his cheek). I suppose the character doesn't have to actually BE middle eastern, I dunno, does anyone have any suggestions? |
