I'm a sap. I think I stopped crying for five minutes at one point during these last two DVDs.

I was disappointed with the conclusion just a bit. Earth's state and the philosophy about it was too predictable, and I didn't understand Keith's motivations at the very end.

spoiler[Also, Tony's being set as leader seemed stupid. He was emotionally unstable the entire story, then suddenly he's ready to talk politics and be leader of the Mu? I'm also going to nitpick that killing all the elders off seemed like drama for the sake of drama.

I did love this story, don't get my wrong. It does a wonderful job at playing on your emotions and creating memorable characters. It's just when you stop and think about it, a lot of things don't add up.

I do agree that this was one of the best overlooked series in recent years. It was very well put together and executed, and I rather enjoyed the conclusion, even though it was predictable in some aspects. I think overall it was very satisfying and it's a shame that it didn't get the attention it deserved IMO.

I wouldn't have heard about this anime and would've probably dismissed it if it weren't recommended to me by a fellow Legend of the Galactic Heroes fan.

This is one of the most satisfying series that I watched recently. Many characters that started off kind of annoying had managed to win me over in the end, such as Jomi. I think the reason why the creator kept his childish traits intact while develping him for most of the series is because he's the Peter Pan figure of the series, having that thought in mind had enabled me to appreciate him as a character. Toni ended up being an interesting character as well, spoiler[and I thought it was more fitting that he finally had to change after Jomi chose him as the next Soldier and that he himself admitted that he was no fit to be the one.]

I'm glad that Bandai made his series available in the R1 market, even if it was in a sub-only format.

It's a shame that this ended up sub-only. It was a good show, and I probably would have bought it right away. I'll probably get it eventually, but the lack of an English version has put it farther down on my list.

As for the show itself, yeah the ending was pretty obvious but overall it was pretty good. It started pretty slow for me, but once the antagonist was brought in it took off.

I heard it was going to have a dub release eventually; it's being released early like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was.

Anyway, I have the first part of this series and have watched the first DVD. I really enjoyed it, and this just inspires me to keep on. Very Happy I'm glad the ending is pretty good. The only downfall is what Greed1914 mentioned. I can't watch this series and do something else because its only in Japanese. Hard to find time to do so.

I'd love it if what you've heard turned out to be true. That would be a guaranteed buy from me for Bandai, that and an Eureka 7 set. Then again, that show hasn't received a box set this long after it's TV run, so I'm questioning it.

This is a show I liked immensely. Glad to know it's in a cheap DVD bundle. Though I might hold out longer for a dub.
