Wow, I had no idea this was even being made. Hopefully it comes out on DVD in the U.S. at least.

It had been announced last year, I believe that they were going to be making the movie. I had thought though that the movie was going to be American made. The picture of Saya though still looks pretty cool. I think that there is indeed potential for this movie.

One of the first live-action "Blood: The Last Vampire" pictures that I saw on the internet last year...
Saya

And Koyuki supposedly is playing the villain. Something I have not seen her do often, if at all. I've seen her in a couple of drama series and also the Last Samurai, so my knowledge of her roles is kind of limited. But it would be interesting to see what she does for this role in Blood.

I forgot about this movie..

Meh. I preferred the series to the original movie. I absolutely hated the movie. Not only did it look horrible, but it had no plot! Just some whacked out school girl killing monsters around Halloween....

Not really interested in this live action flick.

Here's a still of Koyuki (as Onigen) from the live-action "Blood: The Last Vampire".

As shocking as it is for me to be at an advantage here, I have no desire to watch this. Swords and vampires aren't going to entice me into a cinema.

If I have time (and remember) I'll be going to the cinema for this. We never got the Blood+ series here and the novel was.. very Oshii, but I enjoyed the original OVA which should have been much longer.

Wow, never heard about this. Not only that but its getting a theatre release soon.

Hm, from the few screens I've seen posted by you guys, at the very least the actress looks like Saya. Hopefully it will be really good as I absolutely loved the OVA (and I'm enjoying the spinoff Blood+). In fact Blood "The Last Vampire" is probably one of my favorite anime movies even today.

I definately hope that it at least gets a DVD (and/or) BD release in North America, I think that I'd buy it unless I find out its absolutely terrible.
