Does anyone know what/where these "select theaters" are?

Theaters are listed here at the Fathom website.

I saw the trailer / advertisement for Sword of the Stranger just this evening while at the movies. Looked intriguing. The theater I was at is one of the ones showing the movie.
Edit: Pfft! Just read through all of the fine print including this statement. Contest is open to any and all residents of the planet Earth and neighbour parallel dimensions... |

usually I skip even entering contests like these since usually even if I win I'll have to drive 45 minutes or more away to see limited screening anime movies like this... but this time there's actually one screening of this in my town (even if it's on the opposite side as me) so I had to enter!

It is okay to enter even if we have to drive a ways to a theater that is showing, correct?

Got my fingers crossed, since I plan on going anyway. This'll be a real treat to see on the big screen.

Just right after Afro Samurai 2's premiere, we have another style-over-substance-but-awesome-action anime.
There also showed a preview in front of the Underworld: Rise of the Lycans movie. |

Yeah so appearently there is one playing in the middle of nowhere of my state... Which is exactly where I am. But i don't know. I wonder if this is going to be dub or sub. That could play a role in my going....

The movie will be dubbed. After the movie, there will be a featurette with interviews with the American cast and behind the scenes footage from Studio Bones according to the article. |

For once, my town is actually being cool and is getting this at the theater, soI just had to enter. ^^ Luckily it's on a day where I had to get off for work (school FTW for once!), so it's a quick trip from the college campus, to home, then to the theater. XP
-crosses fingers- Here's to hoping! ^^ |

Comparing Afro Samurai to Sword of the Stranger is an insult to both films. |

Oh, just tonight I went to one of the theater's that will be showing that. Of course, in the unlikely event I win, it'll still cost me a couple bucks to take the turnpike to get there and back.

I won't argue Afro's worth, but Sword of the Stranger was a very solid (if not exactly innovative) piece of work. Utterly gorgeous fight scenes, likable characters, good music, reasonable plot...I know that's all I need in a good anime movie. |
