No, actually it's a mystery/suspense series that surrounds what they call the "Blade Children". But it is not in any way related to "The Ring". Still, I'm glad this got picked up. It's a bit surprising, but it seems that Funi is aiming for the detective genre, which I'm glad for. Now if somebody would just announce Detective Academy Q, I'd be ecstatic.

Looks like FUNi is trying to show just how diverse they can be. Have to give them credit for that. Sooner or later people are going to have to forget about Dragon Ball, that'll be soon I hope.

This is soo cool I'll finally be able to replace my fansubs and everything. Not to mention that I'll only have to wait until November. *goes off to celebrate*

You know...if they'd make a second season of Spiral that explained what the heck exactly was going on in the darn series, I'd be thrilled. Well, I'm happy anyway, despite creating more questions than it answered, Spiral was a good show.
...how I love the ending song "Cocktail..."

Yeah, I'd like a 2nd season as well, but I don't think that's going to happen. For this reason, I'm ever more hopeful that the manga will get a license and also hoping it explains everthing we weren't told in the anime.
And you are right, I like the ED song as well.

Yeah, a license on the manga would be nice. Where did I read...though the manga has more detail, is much darker and more violent than the anime, I don't think the manga even answers what the Blade Children actually are.

I'm unsure if a season 2 of Spiral could ever happen. For one, EVERYONE carries a gun at some point (even cute little Rio), and there's lots of violence that never made it to the anime (Kanone stabbing Eyes when they first re-united at the airport; Kanone beating the crap out of Ayumu and others). The anime left out a good 60% of the violence that was in the manga, and considering the manga is still running, I'm not sure how much else could be made into a new season.

Even if that remaining 40% had any answers to the questions that arose, I'd be happy with that. Sure they could make a second season. It'd just be less violent than the manga.

Maybe they used the ratings as a scapegoat so that they could only show half of the story in anime-form, so it would encourage readers to read the manga, and the prequel-ish manga, Spiral Alive. It's a conspiracy!

Those hats were really cute!

Yes! Finally, it's about time someone picked this up. I love this show/manga.

Funimation doing a 25-episode series?
That's interesting. Looks like they are really trying to improve their image.

I am confused...why is this surprising? Fruits Basket, Blue Gender, and Kiddy Grade are all around 24-26 episodes...
