This amazes me that even after a decade or slightly more, that Poke'mon is still as popular as it was in the 90's. Most shows that copied Poke'mon (Digimon, Monster Rancher and several others) are probably still popular to some, but probably not as popular as Poke'mon I am sure.

The obvious reason for that is because the Pokemon anime is a promotional vehicle fore the video games and the cards. That is the only reason the anime is still alive. As long as there are still children enthralled with the games and collecting the cards and what not, pokemon the anime will still be on the air to remind many more children why playing those video games and card games are fun and why the should continue to shell out they cash for them. Why else do you think they recycle the same plot for every episode? It's become a walking advertisement, they could care less about the actual story at this point. |

It did at first, but now I'm pretty much use to it. Ash's new VA is not too bad, but he's no Veronica Taylor, though. |

To be honest, I like Ash's new voice more. He sounds more like a young boy, but that's just me. Although I did like VT's earlier Ash's voice, as that sounded more like a young boy than when she changed later to be permanent Ash's voice. But I'm going with the sound, not acting, BTW.

Don't forget Movie 8. It was the only one besides movie 1,5 and 7 that 4kids did well do they do give some BOTD. Also movie 10 is decent enough though not having a sub version (For my sister since i'm dub only) & the lack of the original Openings leave something to be desired. Hopefully the original opening and script will be intact for the US release. Also i'd like Satoshi's new voice. Sure she ain't like miss taylor,but hell at least it's decent enough and at least 4kids ain't pulling the strings anymore. |

I meant Ash, not the VA, I know the VAs are women, lol! I don't expect the openings to stay intact, but the script is more than likely to stay the same. |
