These two new episode titles are starting to steer in that direction. Though I could be wrong it is Detective Conan after all. The thing is the 13 movie Detective Conan: The Raven Chaser is rumored to be the last movie.
Here are the titles...
521.
Murderer, Kudou Shin'ichi
522
Shin'ichi's True Colours and Ran's Tears
What do you think is it nearing the end or could it be like Desperate Revival?

I think that a lot of rumors are flying since the announcement that the show was losing its' timeslot. In other words, noone has any clue and anyone who says he's spouting more than theory is a liar.

How can anyone follow it? I used to be a fan but its just way too long. How can they keep it interesting. I mean 13 moives, doesn't that top Pokemon? The love interest is worst than Inuyasha... Is it still worth it to follow. Isn't all Japanese?

Rumors mean absolutely nothing. If anything, read the manga, because only by the manga going in the direction of the series will the anime end. Unless they pull an Inuyasha. If it ends, this site will know.

But isn't the manga like Death Note, all that reading in such a small space. Its like reading fan subs in a fast-pace action. I can't keep up.

I haven't been keeping up with Detective Conan for a while and I've been meaning to get back to it. I hope it's not the end because i enjoy the show allot. But then again it has been going on for quite some time now and I wouldn't be surprised if it did come to an end soon. Over 500 episodes is more than enough for one anime. Though it will be sad if it finally comes to a close. But you can never let yourself get sold on rumors and suspicion. For all we know it could end in a few episodes or it could go on for another 500.

It would be sad if Detective Conan ends. But it has gone on for a long time. It wouldn't surprise me either if it finishes. I enjoy the anime, but if the entire series does get licensed by Funimation, I'll have to draw a line somewhere. That would be alot of box sets and money.
Over 500 episodes, how do they do it?

Well, the nice thing about that show is you don't HAVE to follow it, like Inu-Yasha. It's episodic, so you can just pick it up wherever and use fansites to check out specific episodes that alter the plot heavily, although there were very few. I think it should end soon. That's an EXTREMELY long run, no harm ending it while it's healthy.
Those episodes do sound intriguing!

Yeah, 500 is an awful lot, even though Detective Conan is a very good anime.
I myself may have to draw the line sonewhere too.
