I just got 2 Ads by FUNimation Entertainment One that says im the 1,000,000 visitor and it beeps, and one thats says CONGRATULATIONS you just won a nintendo wii.

And now as im posting this I got an ad that says CONGRATS you have won a walmart gift card with the Ads by Reed Business Expo (NYAF/NYCC)

Edit: I just got the walkmart gift card one agan but this time the Ads were by FUNimation Entertainment

Edit: The ads i keep getting are the oens with the sound saying I won a nintendo wii first the Ads were by Reed Business Expo (NYAF/NYCC) and I actually saw the ad.
Then I was scrolling along, and the ad on the page had nothing to do with a nintendo wii, and yet the voice was telling me that I won, Ads were by Tribal Fusion, but there was no ad on the page displaying the nintendo wii.

I'm getting the safecount.net pop-up ad that murph76 mentioned a few days ago.

Bottom of the page reads "Ads by Tribal Fusion".

That is not exactly a virus itself but an attempt to attack a vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player.

Adobe - Security Advisories : APSB08-01

Yeah well either way it's tried to get in to my computer over a dozen times now. I've gotten it on almost every page though i still don't know which ad it's in because my Virus Scan blocks the image that the things infected. I get it most on the Mainpage and the Search Page.

More Circuit City Crappyness.

Didn't catch the pop-up, but this was where I got ambushed.

Are political ads acceptable here? (all of them attack Obama-Biden btw)

1) Ads by Tribal Fusion
2) http://www.johnmccain.com/involving/petition2.aspx?guid=de6afb35-a61a-4b87-985c-cdf671e6b6ae&s=google&t=coal

Yeah, I'm going to allow political ads. If there was an option to block attack ads without doing it one by one I would, but there's only the "political" category.

Also worth noting, ANN doesn't agree with or endorse any of the political ads that may show up here (they come from ad networks). If you have the money, you can put up republican, democrat, or even communist ads.

Apparently some prop 8 ads are showing up on ANN. Let me make it clear, I have an opinion on prop 8, but ANN doesn't.

Okay, I have no bloody clue what just happened here:

All I know is this: Ads by Gorilla Nation start loading up, and the page is "locked". No can click on links, no can go back, nothing. Oddly enough, it still allowed me to load a new Firefox Browser and allowed access to another open browser to DeviantArt.

When I noticed the ad's animation was done, it allowed me to click a link, but as soon as the animation started again, the link I click "froze" and again, the ANN page was "locked" until the animations in each ad went thru it's course. Happened once more before I was able to get to the Talkback forums to complain about this.

What browser ?

Does anyone else get the same problem? (you can force that ad to display) here

Nope, it works fine. Perhaps because both ads were of the same service/product thats why it locked up?

This may be a minor complaint, but aren't the ads supposed to be more like a stretched-out rectangle than a square that makes the page slightly more bigger than it should be? I've only seen square image ads on the front page, never on the forums....

The ad was by Gorilla Nation, BTW.
