Working with Sci-fi? Could this mean Funimation Channel blocks on Sci-fi in the near future? Would be a good plan to expand Sci-fi's anime coverage beyond Ani-Monday. Very Happy

Or even just add more shows to AniMonday. "Now and Then, Here and There" is over, and TTGL is halfway done. The only premiere in the pipline is Gundam 00 in November. Airing some Funimation properties could definitely help. Maybe Darker than BLACK? Hint, hint.

It'd be nice if they could expand the Funimation Channel's service. I barely hear about it, it just seems like it isn't available in many places.

I guess FUNi doesn't want their aired shows to be shoveled to craptastic hours, good for them (and us) Cool .

I hope they continue going strong on XBOX Live as well, hopefully Negima?! will make it on there? pweeze? Wink

So far Scifi has not mistreated their properties so I don't see that being an issue.

It would be great if Funimation could get their stuff appended along with Sci fi Ani Block. I've been watching Gurren Lagann on Ani-Monday, and even though I've already got all the sub-dvds, it's still fun to watch it on Sci-Fi.

I can clearly see both Burst Angel and Jyu-Oh-Sei on side-by-side with Gundam 00; I'd actually go back to watching television again if they throw it all in sequence!

That's a matter of opinion. As insane as [as]'s scheduling practices are, they've always limited their shows to one three-minute commercial break in the middle, and they never excise actual in-episode content from what they're airing. Sci-Fi has been airing its anime time-chopped and riddled with commercial breaks from the beginning of the block.

Which is the lesser of 2 evils for you? Only 1 commercial, but at 5am, or 3-4 commercials at 11pm?

I'm frankly more willing to tolerate the 11pm 3-4 commercials. It may be riddled with commercials, but at least I can watch it at a somewhat reasonable hour. And there's no conspiracies that Sci-Fi is killing anime, since they announce their acquisitions months ahead of time(Gundam 00) and have kept an entirely consistent schedule since they started. The few times they've put something else on, it's always been anime. The only real complaint is the sidebar-mute of the EDs to advertise Eureka or Sanctuary or whatever, but AS has EDs cut down drastically too(4-screen 5-second Moribito ED anyone?), so they're about even there.

(Clearly the real answer is 11pm and uncensored and commercial-free, but not everyone has IFC, so let's leave this between AniMonday and Adult Swim.)

Not likely.IFC,yes.Adult Swim(Thanks to the success of FMA and Trinity Blood),maybe but on Sci Fi with it's multiple commercial interuptions,on a cold day in hell.

Adult Swim hasn't shown good faith lately though. If Funimation makes a deal with Adult Swim, it's very likely their show will get put into a very bad timeslot at random without explanation. I'm sure Bandai isn't pleased with Code Geass being put at 5am, nor Media Blasters with Moribito being put at 5:30(after only 3 episodes no less). Sci-Fi is at least consistent with its timeslot, so I think Sci-Fi still has a good shot compared to Adult Swim.

Of course I'll also agree that IFC has a great chance. I love the uncensored commercial-free anime on IFC.
