Heya guys!
First a good two thumbs up to the new error reporting system. (: Problem is because everyone can see your report, including the person whoose entry you are claiming to be erroneous. These people sometimes correct their entry based on your report making the report voided. So how do I go about deleting a report I made which is no longer valid? The error report of mine which I wish to delete would be this. I've tried deleting everything in the editable box of mine and pressing "Submit" but it didn't work. Thanks! (: |

Basically, it's a good thing that people see what they entered wrong and correct themselves. That's easier for us than to check all reports ourselves, because most of the time, it's lacking decent sources of information, and if there is, it's not always checkable. If for example a user copies the credits from his DVD wrong, we can't check if the dvd is correct unless one of us has it himself. The original user can then go back to his own copy, check and correct.
You can't completely delete your error report because we want to keep track of all errors in the encyclopedia. If we encouter an error that has already been corrected (sometimes it's done by a note from the original submitter stating that he has corrected his entry), we can mark the report 'handled', so it disappears from your view. Sadly enough, there are much more error reports to handle now than we can cope with at this moment (my upcoming holiday ![]() |

Haha I see. No problems there and thanks for the reply. (:
I was just thinking that if I could delete it, it could lessen the number of minute stuff you guys had to handle. Thanks anyway! ![]() |

Ah, that's an interesting situation. If the user changes their entry, then it's no longer the same info that you marked as erroneous or accurate. I'll have to add something to take that into account.
It has already been marked as handled, but in the future you could simply change your report to "This information is ACCURATE" without changing the message. That will remove the red icon. |
