Man, I never knew you could die from OD'ing on cold medicine. What a dumb brat. [Of course, I did something similarly unintentionally stupid at that age once, so I guess I'm not one to talk...] Oh, well, I'm just glad another promising young actor didn't go the way of Heath Ledger.

Speaking as someone who has a bad case of stomach flu, It can be very very easy to lose track of how many pills your poping when your in pain.

While that is most definitely true, 100+ pills is no accident. It seems like in the heat of an arguement, he lost his cool and tried to poison himself.
Props to his family for paying attention and getting help for him right away, though. This could have ended differently had they not dialed 119 (gotta love it) when they did.
Speedy recovery to him, and I hope he and his family can work out their issues.

100 pills!? What the flip!? I didn't know 100 pills could be digested! I hope he's okay! He did one of the boys in that movie called Nobody Knows (based on true story).

100 pills? That kid is lucky he didn't die from taking that large of a quantity. To take that many pills, there is no way this could have been a accident. This could have easily been similar to what happened to Keith Leger. However, he accidently overdosed, so the story is only similar in the aspect of taking too many pills at once.

Where you been?
There was a warning put out a couple years ago that as little as a double dose of Tylenol taken regularly can cause serious liver damage (as in someone with chronic pain regularly doubling up). My husband accidentally gave my daughter a Tablespoon of dimetap instead of a teaspoon & Poison Control said she should be ok, but to keep an eye on her & that it would likely make her hyper.
Realistically all drugs have a side effect. Diabetics need insulin but the insulin keeping a diabetic alive is also slowly killing them, the issue being diabetics who need insulin do live longer than they would without it. Most doctors regularly do bloodwork on their patients on meds to make sure the liver & other organs are doing ok. Just look at the "side effects" section of most drug packaging. Although it is amusing to hear the warnings in commercials after they pitch how the drug will improve your life then they warn it can make you drive your car in your sleep, etc.
100 pills is past accident
