The last few minutes was Ellie Lee, one of the hosts of ANNTV.

OMG, I wish that video never ended. I loved the guy dressed as a bush playing Final Fantasy.

Can someone tell me what song that was or the game it was from?? I know I recognize it but the feedback keeps throwing me off. It's going to bother me all day now....

Anyway, very amusing video. I really liked the Sailor Stars girls. Maybe I'll make it out to Anime Expo next year while I'm still relatively close to LA.

That was me in the Boota costume at 15:45! I sound like such a dork, haha, but I was caught off guard and hadn't the faintest who was interviewing me. Laughing If I had known who it was, I would've said something less dumbed-down and doofy!

Also, I usually have the head pushed up so it's a better shape, but I didn't have my friends there at the time to tell me to do so. :/

Oh well--I hope someone got a laugh out of my costume, or enjoyed it! I certainly love that costume, and Shokotan did as well! http://blog.excite.co.jp/shokotan/2860715/

I got a laugh out of it for sure. Good job. Very Happy

I definitely have to go to a convention one of these years. They look like an absolute blast.

Okay, I know I shouldn't let people on the intarwebz get under my skin, but I have to reply to this :/

Bamboo's quick wit is what made me laugh while interviewing the freaks.I doubt the cosplayers even watch the anime they base their costume on.

Cosplayers almost ALWAYS not only watch/read the anime or manga their costume is from, they generally LOVE said materials. Part of the point of cosplay is to express your liking for a show/story. Even if they aren't terribly familiar with the show (i.e. cosplaying to match with a friend etc.), the whole point is to have fun :/

Shadowrun20XX wrote:
It's funny for every cosplay creep you interviewed, there was an even worse, even more dopier freak behind them.I'm not kidding.

I really don't think it's justifiable to call someone a "creep" or a "freak" just because they know how to enjoy themselves at a con. I know there are some socially-awkward cosplayers out there, but again, the hobby is all about having fun and sharing your love of anime. Don't be so negative about something like that.

Shadowrun20XX wrote:
I understand it's for the camera as well as the noobs but dammit,if you got to mention what you're cosplaying as,you didn't do a very good job.Take some pride when representing the west, damn.

Because OMG REAL ANIME FANS CAN RECOGNIZE EVARY CHARACTER EVAR CREATED!!!! It's pretty common practice to note who you're cosplaying, even if you look like the character's identical twin. That way you can help people who are intrigued by the costume find the original source material. In this case, it's just like saying "hi, my name is Lauren" so that people can recognize you.

I wouldn't be able to enjoy the actual convention now a days with posers like this, wandering around.I guarantee,I'd start a real life, mugen battle royale before getting in the front door. :D

And it's people who spend their time spouting negative crap like this that discourage new anime fans from even approaching the older fan community! It's okay if you don't like someone's costume or disagree with the things they like - everyone's entitled to an opinion. But to act like the whole experience would be far too trying for an anime fan of your implied caliber to put up with the "posers" to even enjoy the con... Well, that says more about you than it does about the other attendees, that's for sure.

IN OTHER NEWS:

There were some really cute and/or awesome costumes this year. I've attended Otakon multiple times but have yet to brave the crowds at AX. Maybe next year :)

Nice job, Bamboo~

The song he was playing was Tifa's theme from FFVII. :-p

Aww, don't be a hater, man. Cosplayers are awesome, and I admire them for all their dedication and creativity. Even I cosplay, so don't lump me into the freaks category! Very Happy

Also, the reason why a lot of them mentioned who they were cosplaying is because I asked them to. That way, even people who aren't familiar with the series can know what their costumes are from.

I admire them too,and their creativeness with the material around them. It's very impressive but I also have a side of me that can't stand people who play dress up,sing and dance. It's embarrassing.I'm a hater to be sure.Though I would love to see you cosplay,Bamboo. Very Happy

I completely understand what you were doing and how the process works,I was just trolling. My apologies, this has been the best ANNtv episode so far. Anime exclamation I look forward to more.

I don't know who's in the costume, but she's dressed as Hatsune Miku. Very cute singing~

But the Elizabeth and Katsura are my favorites. Win.

Greatly enjoyed the feature, though. It's one of my favorite things that pops up after a big con. Miku's singing was great!
