I was just wondering if anyone here likes Ninja Scroll and if so then why? I want to know if it's any good or not because im thinking about buying it.

Ninja Scroll movie or Ninja Scroll series?
There are ratings for each entry and here's a review for the movie. I love how Zac says in his intro:

At any rate this probably isn't the best topic for a thread, that being said here are a few reviews for the series that I googled (much the same as you could have done).

thats just off the first page. I myself have yet to see the series but if its half as good as the movie I'm sure its worth looking into.

The series is ok. In my opinion, it's not as good as the movie, simply because the content has to be watered down because it was on television. Lets face it, one of the main reasons people watch Ninja Scroll is because of the outragous amounts of bloodshed, and to a lesser extent, sex.

I'm sure the creators of the tv series pushed the violence thing as far as they could get away with, but it still looks lame in some parts where you can tell they wanted to do more, but couldn't.

On the positive side, the show has some exellent monster designs, and some of the more human fighters are exellent as well. There's plenty of action, if thats your thing and it still is an adult series, just watered down.

I say it's worth buying. Just don't expect quite the same Ninja Scroll.

I completely enjoyed the movie! Ultra-violent, plenty of foreshadowing, morbid, deliciously wicked characters, melancholy, highly detailed animation, fluid, spoiler[evil almost triumphs], and a sprinkle of hentai.

I have not seen the tv series yet, but I have researched the character designs... not too shabby. Got to rent it when time permits. Shocked
