I just started reading this manga, since I have gone into a shojo period once agian, so of course I wanted to read some Yuu Watase. I found this one, which is her newest work( I think) and started to read and I'm just tottaly stunned.
I never expected her to make a manga like this, it is very diffrent from all of her earlier work; the feeling, the characters and the drawing.
It is like she has become Kaori Yuki, not even using a heroine as a main character. Even if you aren't a shojo-ai fan or even that into Watase Yuu ( maybe not even heard of her, but with the popularity around Fushigi Yuugi, Ayachi no Ceres & Zettai Kareshi, that is quite impossible ^.~ ), you should check out this manga, just to realise the difrence and all.
So far I have only read the first chapter ( around 90 pages) , but will read more as soon as the shock is over^^' ...tabun :3

You meant "Shounen Ai" and not "Shoujo Ai"...right? ^^;

I wasn't too surprised when she jumped onto the BL bandwagon. She had hinted before on those author side notes (specifically in her Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden series) how she enjoyed the relationship between two of her characters, Soren and Limdo (The "master and slave" dynamic) and how Takiko, the female lead, would have to "work harder"! I have a feeling that she's having fun with it...

She really had improved over the years, though. It's especially apparent in her "Perfect World" magazine where you get to see the new and old series of Fushigi Yuugi side by side.

/end babbling of Watase fangirl Razz

I want to read this, but I'm a bit scared to. I don't trust Watase to not mess it up and make the guys turn straight spoiler[like she did with Nuriko. ]

Though I can understand the concern, I think Sakura Gari won't be heading in that direction. One of our two main characters is spoiler[already "partaking" in a relationship, and is flirting like crazy with our other main character ]. There is also spoiler[nary a girl in sight to hook the guys up with...with the exception of this mysterious girl popping up at the end of the first chapter]. But if we go by the rules of most anime/manga with their, "fall in love withe the first main character you see", I think this manga is heading in an irreversible BL direction.

In chapter 3, Watase makes it so that spoiler[she can't exactly turn back from the homosexual elements in her manga (well, maybe she can, but...), as one of our main male characters forces the other one into a highly sexual (completely non-con) relationship.]
