All three of these IDW's comic/graphic novel titles are also available on Hoopla for free (assuming one has a library card, & also if your library is connected to Hoopla). So I'm not sure what is the point of bringing these to WEBTOON app if you are able to read these on Hoopla (again, assuming you have a library card). And reformatting these titles for WEBTOON will look weird on the smartphone app.

Probably because most people don't have a library card and there's also people outside the US that couldn't ahve it even if they wanted to. Meanwhile Webtoon is also free with no extra requirements outside of coins to read ahead to later chapters and also way more popular.

Also this is far from the first time that Physical Comics have been reformated to a scrolling format, as i'm currently reading the Avatar comics on that platform and as far as i'm aware it looks good.

I understand that, and I'm aware not all public library system in the US have Hoopla subscription/connection thus making it harder for some people to access these 3 titles listed in the article. But I believe most (I don't have the data) people in the US with library cards should be able to access Hoopla easily and thus reading the 3 titles listed above.

Well, I've never read a previous graphic novels that started out as a book form and reformatted to be read on a smartphone let alone on WEBTOON app. So yeah.
