Does this mean that they're considering doing the translation and recording the dubs the same time as the Japanese voices are recorded? That would be awesome for someone like me who prefers to watch anime dubbed more often than subs.
That was a very interesting blog entry, I usually never think about how the character of the voice actor could be more important than how the sound of the voice fits the character. I guess it would be hard for me to tell the character of a seiyuu when I know little Japanese, but I'd have to agree, some of the best dubs that I have watched were because of the uniqueness of the VAs' character more so than the sound of their voice. |
