I remember watching this.
It was surprising there was never more aside from Mai Otome.
Hopefully there will another project announced.

I wish they'd revive this IP. Some of the plot devices in Mai-Otome wouldn't go over well these days, but since they fleshed out the setting rather well (past wars, the connection to Mai-HiME etc.), the lore is full of material they could use for potential new anime.

I think it's hilarious that even 20 years later, they're still regretting not making Haruka a Hime in the main series.

Did they fully connect Otome and HiME in any tie-ins or supplementary material? Because I found it frustrating how Otome and especially Zwei kept teasing connections to HiME, but was never willing to fully commit to it.
But yeah, more from this franchise would be great. Just need to get Yuki Kajiura back for the music. It wouldn't be the same without her.

I'm joining the chorus of those who would like something new from this IP, it was one of my strongest anime hyperfixations during my youth! My autistic ass was so obsessed with My-HiMe (and ShizNat) that I even cosplayed Shizuru at a con, my real hair being almost the perfect color; it was the last time I ever had bangs

One of the flagship yuri titles back then.
Also, one of the transition works , from the time.qhwme.aeries stopped dropping the male lead, he did not even make it to the poster this time, hell I am even starting to think he was manga only.

Mezame lives rent free in my head. I'd love some type of continuation, remake, or spin-off.

Making a new installment for My-HiME would be difficult without going in an entirely new direction, since the ending of that one was definitive, but My-Otome (which has been one of my most frequently-rewatched series over the years) still leaves plenty of room for more expansion.
And yes, I agree that if new animation is ever made, it needs to get Kajiura back. I hunted down the My-Otome soundtrack during a trip to Japan a few years ago and have never regretted the effort.

Not in the anime. Their respective mangas are connected, but that's an alternative universe with a long list of changes regarding both the plot and the characters.

Mai-HiME… now there's a blast from the past. Also known as "You think Madoka's OP clashed with its narrative tone?"

It's nice to see Mai-Hime be celebrated like this, I have a lot of fond memories of watching it.

Still waiting on a series that shows us the original carnival with Mashiro. That storyline absolutely deserved to be developed.

Fun fact: Yuko Miyamura ended her active seiyu career with Mai Hime.
After that, she pretty much only remained Asuka in Evangelion, and Kazuha in Detective Conan.

I loved My Hime back in the day and it's still one of my top favorite Sunrise shows. I never watched Otome but I should give it a chance It's too bad it seems like this franchise has become somewhat forgotten by modern anime fandom in recent years compared to other 2000s Sunrise mecha shows because I agree there's' still a lot of potential for more and wouldn't mind a new show. And it's still one of my top fav Yuki Kajiura soundtracks and Midori is still best girl to me.
