Wounded Man is a 80s ova in which by many by fans and critics to be one of the worst anime of all time because it had an awful story, unlikable characters, horrible animation, and overall so abominable that neither every licenser from other countries overseas even dare try to touch this shlock mess, nor that fan subbers even try to pirate it as well. And for once, I agree with them because I wouldn’t even dare try to watch it because of how awful the ova is. Even by 80s standards, it looks and sounds terrible. Do you think that Wounded Man earned the title as the most universally hated and awful anime that ever existed?

I see this is a copy of a post from reddit.
There are several older anime I would say are even worse. Both from an animation stand point and from a story standpoint. Garzey's Wing, Chargeman Ken, Ninja Robots (especially with US dub), or Outlanders. There's early to mid 2000's/2010's stuff like Skelter Heaven, Mars of Destruction, or I'd even say I think on the whole School Days is worse given which ending from the game they chose to adapt. You also have never stuff like EX-Arm that might be one of the worst anime creations ever. |

The worst anime i've seen is Part 1 of the series known as The Laws Of The Universe series financed by Happy Science which is an ACTUAL JAPANESE CULT with me watching it at the time oblivious to it being partially made by a cult & was curious to hear Tom Kenny (the voice of Spongebob) in an anime. I highly suggest you watch this Mother's Basement video on the topic as he explains it WAAAAY better than I can with just text.

I have never seen Wounded Man so I'm in no position to comment. According to my Seen All folder in My ANN there are exactly two TV shows I've watched to completion that I ranked as "Awful." They are "Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World" from 2022 and King's Game the Animation from 2017. As God as my witness, I literally remember nothing about Harem so I can't even tell you why I didn't like it so much. I remember more of King's Game but not enough to be specific about why it sucked. I believe it was the writing that was really bad, but like I say, I guess my memory has repressed much of the detail.

When a thread approaches the one year mark since the last post, it is a good idea to use a bit of common sense. If you are replying to a specific post it would be best to check if the person who made the post is still posting. If they haven't posted in several months, there is probably no point in responding to them. If you are adding additional information to the thread there is nothing to stop you from posting right up to the limit. We have actually had people pick up a thread five years after the last post trying to refute something said by a person that hasn't posted in four years.
