Never has the tone of a trailer been more undermined by their terrible animations.

Looks good. Already seeing the people who've never played an Atelier game and don't realize how eclectic they've been complain about how this doesn't look like Atelier and is too serious.

There might be more trailers down the line that'll improve on the animations, or at least show more of what the game is like.

I mean my favorite Atelier game is Escha & Logy and that was pretty low-key compared to this trailer. I'm open to try it but I do kind of prefer the more low-stakes vibe of Atelier games compared to other RPGs.

We've already had the Iris trilogy and Mana Khemia which are just regular JRPGs with regular JRPG plots.

Nah, I not think it's really Ayaneru - and people even in Japan put fingers to a lot of female VA, like Tomori Kusunoki or Shion Wakayama, so they are confused too about who voicing Yumia.
Never thought I was going to hear Takaya Kuroda voice in a Gust game though.

Nice, glad for finally a new protag since i wasnt a fan of Ryza 3 mainly because of the characters.
With the announcement of both LOH sky remake and Tales of Graces... gust needs to jump on porting ar tonelico to modern consoles as well! Been replaying them and i forgot how good the music was and the concept of diving into Reyvateils were.

Is it still turn based? Are there even going to be party members?

Trying to get into the new games but none seem appealing. Franchise seems to have peaked with the Dusk trilogy. Also not a fan of the male gazey design direction the franchise has been taking since Ryza.

I could never get into Ryza, and this immediately caught my interest. I don't wanna play it on Switch though, so hopefully they show off more platforms soon.

Totally agreeing with you on this as well @LinkTSwordmaster! However, I'm also hoping that by the time this game comes out.. Nintendo Switch 2 is coming out as well.

There is quite a difference in the LOD between the top and bottom video. I assume the bottom one is for the PS5.

Oh yeah, wow - that is a major difference in fidelity. Take a look at the scene where she is firing at the fox next to the water in both videos.
