Katey Segal, huh? That's a big name, I remember her from 8 Simple Rules on ABC, which also starred the late John Ritter.

Two years of trying to get Jaime Lee Curtis for the role and it still didn't happen. Katy Sagal still feels like a good choice though.

I read another article about this, they were in contact with her but there were too many scheduling conflicts with other projects she had already signed up for.

I knew about the scheduling issues with the new Freaky Friday, but this is a pretty good get for the production as well. Legit Golden Globe winner.

She was hysterical as Peggy in Married with Children.

Katey Sagal did an awesome job voicing Leela in Futurama, so I think she should be able to pull of a pretty good Kureha.

Leela I can get if no one's watched Married With Children or sitcoms in general but to me she'll always be Peg Bundy

Wait, I thought Jamie Lee Curtis was going to play Kureha? I'm sure she mentioned before the TV show was even announced that she wanted to play her. She certainly looks like her.
