Man, I forgot how crazy-detailed the environmental destruction was in these games. I didn't think anything could beat the look of Fighterz. But if story mode in this decent enough, I might pick this up as a complimentary piece for representing DB's lore someday (same goes for those Naruto and Demon Slayer titles; they look great, and the story modes are okay enough).

You shouldn't expect much from the story mode. It will be barebones at best. The game's biggest selling point is the roster, that's what they're mostly promoting.

So they've moved on from specific theme character reveal trailer to Saga reveal trailers. I'm guessing they'll do the same for Cell and Buu (and Super?).

No Jeice and Burter though?

Just for reference, Tenkaichi 3's "story mode" was only a handful of disconnected fights per saga (think 3-5) with with a sentence or two of text for context. Not the worst story mode, insofar as these games go, but far from the best.

If you just want to run through the story, Kakarot is (by far) the best option -- it has plenty of flaws, mind, but when it wants to show off a big sequence, the game really pulls out all the stops with some of the absolute best 3D anime-style animation ever created.

You're right. I was so enthralled by the game footage, I forgot how big the roster display was at the end. 164 characters is a lot. I would think any kind of story stuff will just be like main highlights or something of that nature.

Was also a bit on the fence for that one. But I will do some more research. Thanks.
